2015 TCU Horned Frogs Football Team
The 2015 TCU Horned Frogs football team represented Texas Christian University (TCU) in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The 120th TCU football team played as a member of the Big 12 Conference (Big 12), led by 15th-year head coach Gary Patterson. The Horned Frogs played their home games at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. TCU (11–2, 7–2) finished the season ranked #7 in the nation after a victory in the Alamo Bowl. Gary Patterson
Gary Allen Patterson (born February 13, 1960) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the special assistant to the head coach at the University of Texas. He is the former head football coach at Texas Christian University and the coach with the most wins in Horned Frogs' history. Patterson led the TCU Horned Frogs to six conference championships—one Conference USA title in 2002; four Mountain West Conference titles in 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2011; —and eleven bowl game victories—including victories in the 2011 Rose Bowl and 2014 Peach Bowl. His 2010 squad finished the season undefeated at 13–0 after a 21–19 Rose Bowl victory over the Wisconsin Badgers on New Year's Day 2011, and ranked second in the final tallying of both major polls. 2014 Baylor Bears Football Team
The 2014 Baylor Bears football team represented Baylor University in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bears were coached by Art Briles. Playing their 116th football season, this was the team's first in the new McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas. The Bears were members of the Big 12 Conference. Cordel Iwuagwu (born September 4, 1996) is an American football guard who is currently a free agent. He played college football at TCU. High school career Iwuagwu attended Westfield High School, where he starred as an offensive guard on the Mustangs' football team. At Westfield, Iwuagwu earned First-team District 15-6A honors. Scout.com rated Iwuagwu as a three-star recruit, the No. 7 offensive guard in the State of Texas, and No. 60 offensive guard in the nation coming out of high school. Tipa Te'i Galeai (born February 26, 1997) is an American football outside linebacker. He was signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2020 following his college football career with the TCU Horned Frogs and the Utah State Aggies. Professional career Galeai signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft on April 29, 2020. He was waived during final roster cuts on September 5, 2020, and was signed to the practice squad the next day. KaVontae Turpin
KaVontae Turpin (born August 2, 1996) is an American football wide receiver and return specialist for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at TCU before joining the second iteration of the New Jersey Generals for the 2022 USFL season. On June 22, 2022, Turpin was awarded MVP for the USFL. Turpin also played in the European League of Football for the Wroclaw Panthers from Poland in 2021. Early years Turpin went to Neville High School in his home town Monroe, Louisiana. Silliman Institute
Silliman Institute is a private coeducational school and former segregation academy located in Clinton, Louisiana. It was founded in 1966; a previous school had operated on the site from 1852 to 1931. The school enrolls students from throughout East and West Feliciana Parish, and surrounding areas.
