2015 Sydney Darts Masters
The 2015 Sydney Darts Masters was the third staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation, as a fourth entry in the 2015 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured 16 players (eight top PDC Players facing eight regional qualifiers) and was held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in Sydney, Australia from 20–22 August 2015. Phil Taylor was the defending champion after defeating Stephen Bunting 11–3 in the last year's final and he remained the only player to have won this event by claiming his third title with an 11–3 victory over Adrian Lewis. He also hit the first ever nine-dart finish in a World Series of Darts match, when he hit one in his semi-final victory over Peter Wright, which was Taylor's last televised nine-dart finish in his career. Sydney Entertainment Centre
Sydney Entertainment Centre (later known as Qantas Credit Union Arena) was a multi-purpose arena located in Haymarket, Sydney, Australia. It opened in May 1983, to replace Sydney Stadium, which had been demolished in 1970 to make way for the Eastern Suburbs railway line. The centre was owned by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, which administered the neighbouring Darling Harbour area, and managed under a lease. It was one of Sydney's larger concert venues, licensed to accommodate over 13,000 people as a conventional theatre or 8,000 as a theatre-in-the-round. It was the largest permanent concert venue in Sydney until 1999, when the Sydney Super Dome opened at Sydney Olympic Park. The venue averaged attendances of 1 million people each year and hosted concerts, family shows, sporting events and corporate events. It was demolished in 1 January 2016. Simon Whitlock
Simon Whitlock (born 3 March 1969) is an Australian professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments, having also played in the British Darts Organisation (BDO) between 2004 and 2009. He uses the nickname The Wizard for his matches. His walk-on music is "Down Under" by Men at Work. His greatest achievements to date are winning the 2012 European Championship and 2022 World Cup of Darts for Australia with Damon Heta. Whitlock has also finished runner-up at the 2008 BDO World Darts Championship and the 2010 PDC World Darts Championship. He claimed that the prize money gained from the latter tournament which included money for the highest checkout (joint with Phil Taylor) would allow him to move over to the UK from Australia and compete on the PDC Pro Tour. RTL7
RTL 7 is a Dutch free-to-cable television channel that was launched as ''Veronica'' on 1 September 1995. RTL 7 is RTL Nederland's "men's channel" with action films, reality television about crime and professions, soccer, motorsport and talk shows about sports. During daytime business and financial news channel ''RTL Z'' was broadcasting on RTL 7 until RTL Nederland revamped RTL Z into a 24-hours channel on 7 September 2015. ITV4 is a Television in the United Kingdom, British free-to-air television channel which was launched on 1 November 2005. It is owned by ITV Digital Channels, a division of ITV plc, and is part of the ITV (TV network), ITV network. Fox Channel Asia
Fox was a pan-Asian pay television channel, owned and operated by Fox Networks Group Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of Disney International Operations. The network operated six subnetworks, all solely branded as Fox; one pan-Asian feed meant for East Asia, then individual feeds for Japan, Thailand, The Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Sky Sport is a group of sports-oriented television channels operated by New Zealand's satellite pay-TV company, Sky. History Sky Sport 1 is the original Sky Television sport channel in New Zealand. Warren Parry
Warren "Wazza" Parry (born 9 January 1964) is a New Zealand professional darts player who played in the World Darts Federation (WDF) events. Parry is widely considered the greatest New Zealand player of all time. Career Parry reached the final of the 1999 WDF World Cup Men's Singles event, beating Marko Kantele in the last 16, Andy Fordham in the quarter-finals and fellow New Zealander Herbie Nathan in the semis before losing to Raymond van Barneveld 4–1. Parry then went on to win the 2000 WDF Asia-Pacific Cup. Despite losing his opening group game to Australia's Tony David, Parry won his next two group games to secure qualification for the knockout stage. Clinton "Tic" Bridge (born 30 November 1983) is an Australian professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. A bricklayer by trade, Bridge has mainly played on the Dartplayers Australia (DPA) Tour. Cody Harris (darts Player)
Cody Harris (born 10 October 1985) is a former New Zealand darts player. Career Harris comes from a family of dartplayers. His father ran the ACDC Dart Club and Harris watched as a child his parents and other family members when they played. When Eric Bristow came to New Zealand for the WDF World Cup, Harris' father played against him and won. When Harris was around eight years old he for the first time threw a dart. When Harris was nine he won the A grade Championship for the Auckland Darts Association and he for the first time took part in the national championship when he was 13. Many national successes followed including the win in the 2015 Sydney Darts Masters Qualifier and the National Championship 2015. Internationally, his biggest success so far was the last 32 of the Winmau World Masters in 2015 where he lost to Scott Waites 3–0. Craig Caldwell
Craig Caldwell (born 20 January 1973) is a New Zealand professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments. His major sponsors are SHOT, L-Style and Clearview Windows Limited. Career Caldwell topped the New Zealand regional table in the 2014/15 season to win a place in the preliminary round of the 2016 BDO World Darts Championship. He previously appeared in televised tournaments in the PDC, competing in the PDC World Cup of Darts in 2013 and 2014, as well as the Auckland Darts Masters, Perth and Sydney Darts masters in 2015.
