2015 Sudirman Cup
The 2015 Sudirman Cup was the fourteenth tournament of the Sudirman Cup. It was held in Dongguan, China. Host city selection Dongguan is the only city to submit a bid for 2015 Sudirman Cup. Badminton World Federation awarded the event to Dongguan during BWF Council Meeting in Athens, Greece. Seedings The seedings for teams competing in the tournament were released on March 5, 2015. It was based on aggregated points from the best players in the world ranking. The tournament was divided into four groups, with twelve teams in the elite group competing for the title. Eight teams were seeded into second and third groups and seven teams were seeded into fourth group. The draw was held on March 16, 2015. Dongfeng Nissan Sports Center
The Dongguan Basketball Centre (), also referred as Bank of Dongguan Basketball Centre () for sponsorship reasons, is an indoor arena located in Dongguan, China. It is used mostly for basketball matches and concerts. Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association are the tenants. Dongguan Basketball Center opened on 31 August 2014. Yao Ming's Yao Foundation Charity Game 2014, contested by Tony Parker, Shane Battier, Carl Landry, Troy Daniels, Wang Zhelin, Guo Ailun and Zhou Peng, was held as the opening match. It was renamed Dongfeng Nissan Cultural and Sports Center on the same day when Dongfeng Nissan acquired the naming rights to the center. Guangdong Southern Tigers of Chinese Basketball Association had played at the Dongfeng Nissan Center since the 2014–15 CBA playoffs. Karin Schnaase
Karin Schnaase (born 14 February 1985) is a German badminton player. She represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She placed 2nd in her group during group play and did not advance to the next round. She is well known for the broken shoe incident with Laura Sarosi at the 2016 European Badminton Championships, where Sarosi handed her spare shoe to make Schnaase able to continue the match. Schnaase later won the match which made Sarosi unable to gain more points for Olympic badminton qualification. Greysia Polii
Greysia Polii (; born 11 August 1987) is an Indonesian former badminton player specializing in doubles. She won gold medals in the women's doubles at the 2014 Asian Games, at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games and at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She also won three bronze medals at the World Championships in 2015, 2018, and 2019. Polii is a member of BWF Athletes' Commission to represent the needs and views of athletes to the BWF council and committees from 2013 to 2017 and 2021 to 2025. Nitya Krishinda Maheswari Korwa (born 16 December 1988) is an Indonesian former badminton player affiliated with Jaya Raya Jakarta, specializing in doubles event. She won the women's doubles gold medals at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games and at the 2014 Asian Games. Career Maheswari participated at the 2009 World Championships, where she reached rank 9 in the women's doubles together with Greysia Polii. Tsai Chia-hsin (; born 25 July 1982) is a Taiwanese former badminton player. He competed at the 2006 and 2014 Asian Games. Lee Sheng-mu (; born 3 October 1986) is a Taiwanese badminton player from the Taiwan Cooperative Bank club. He competed at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games, and the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Mohammad Ahsan (born 7 September 1987) is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club who specializes in the men's doubles. He is three-time World Champion, three-time season ending finals champion, and Asian Games gold medalist.
