The Malaysia Premier League ( ms, Liga Premier) was the second-tier professional football league in Malaysia. The league replaced the former second-tier league, Liga Perdana 2 in the Malaysian football league system. The Malaysia Premier League was contested by 12 clubs where the season usually ran from early February to late October, with a Ramadan break for a month depending on the Islamic calendar. Teams played 22 matches (playing each team in the league home and away), totalling 132 matches in the season. Most games were played on Fridays, with a few games played during weekdays. The league operated on a system of promotion and relegation with promotion to the Malaysia Super League and relegation to the Malaysia M3 League. Tanjung Malim
Tanjung Malim, or Tanjong Malim, is a town in Muallim District, Perak, Malaysia. It is approximately north of Kuala Lumpur and 120 km south of Ipoh via the North–South Expressway. It lies on the Perak-Selangor state border, with Sungai Bernam serving as the natural divider. 2014 Malaysia FAM League
The 2014 Malaysia FAM League (referred to as the FAM League) is the 62nd season of the Malaysia FAM League since its establishment in 1952. The league is currently the third level football league in Malaysia. Penang are the defending champions and currently play in the second level of Malaysian football, Malaysia Premier League. Kuantan FA won the league with two matches to spare, their first title in their 2-year FAM League participation, after a 1-1 draw with MOF F.C. on 20 June 2014, while Kuala Lumpur FA clinched second place with one match to spare, after a 2-1 win over Perak YBU F.C. on 25 June 2014. Kuala Lumpur City Football Club, known simply as KL City FC, is a Malaysian professional football club based in Kuala Lumpur. The club competes in the Malaysia Super League, the top level of Malaysian football, and was founded in 1974 as Federal Territory by the Kuala Lumpur Football Association (KLFA). Marcerra Kuantan Football Association ''(Malay: Persatuan Bolasepak Daerah Kuantan)'' is a defunct Malaysian football club based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The club was established in 1970 and began competing in the local league as Kuantan FA. In early 2018, the club's right was sold to Marcerra United and they decided to rename the club as Marcerra Kuantan FA as a symbol of the club's new start. Some of the locals consider calling the club as the A.S. Roma of Malaysian Football due to the club sharing the same kit color scheme with the Serie A side .
