2015 Kerrick Sports Sedan Series
The 2015 Kerrick Sports Sedan Series was an Australian motor racing competition open to Sports Sedans and Trans Am style cars. It was sanctioned by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport as a National Series and was the twelfth National Series for Sports Sedans to be contested following the discontinuation of the Australian Sports Sedan Championship at the end of 2003. The 2015 series was won by Tony Ricciardello driving an Alfa Romeo GTV. Calendar The series was contested over five rounds. The results for each round were determined by the number of points scored by each driver at that round. Australian Sports Sedan Championship
The National Series for Sports Sedans, formerly the Australian Sports Sedan Championship, is a CAMS sanctioned national motor racing title for drivers of cars complying with Australian Sports Sedan regulations. This class, essentially a silhouette racing car class, caters for cars of essentially free construction but utilising some of the bodywork of a closed, series production vehicle. Holden Calibra
The Opel Calibra is a coupé, engineered and produced by the German automaker Opel between 1989 and 1997. In the United Kingdom, where it remained on sale until 1999, it was marketed under the Vauxhall brand as the Vauxhall Calibra. It was also marketed as the Chevrolet Calibra in South America by Chevrolet, and the Holden Calibra in Australia and New Zealand by Holden. The Calibra was introduced to belatedly replace the Manta and to counter the Japanese sporting coupés of the period. Darren Hossack (born 1 April 1970) is a multiple-championship winning Australian race car driver. Early career A long time kart racing driver, working professionally in the industry for Drew Price Engineering, he stepped into circuit racing in 1992 in state level Formula Ford, and won the Victorian championship in his debut season, a first title for emerging Formula Ford constructor, Spectrum. Mazda RX-8
The Mazda RX-8 is a sports car manufactured by Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda between 2002 and 2012. It was first shown in 2001 at the North American International Auto Show.
