2015 Italian Local Elections
The 2015 Italian local elections were to be held on 31 May, with a second round on 14 June, concurrently with the Regional elections. In Italy, direct elections were held in 1,063 municipalities: in each municipality (''comune'') were chosen mayor and members of the City Council. Of the 1,603 municipalities, 15 were provincial capitals and 120 had a population higher than 15,000 inhabitants. In Trentino-Alto Adige and Aosta Valley the elections were held on 10 May with a second ballot on 24 May. Municipal councilors and mayors ordinarily serve a terms of five years. Voting System All mayoral elections in Italy in cities with a population higher than 15,000 use the same system. Under this system voters express a direct choice for the mayor or an indirect choice voting for one of the parties of the candidate's coalition. San Giorgio A Cremano
San Giorgio a Cremano is a primarily residential town and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Naples, in Italy. It is located on the foothills of Mount Vesuvius to the west of the volcano, and is six kilometres to the south east of the centre of Naples. Most parts of the municipality command views of Mount Vesuvius, Mount Somma and the Bay of Naples. San Giorgio a Cremano was first settled in the 10th and 11th centuries, and has since been fairly regularly affected by the eruptions of Mount Vesuvius. Frattamaggiore
Frattamaggiore (locally also known as Fratta) is a ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Naples, Campania, Italy. It is located north of Naples and southwest of Caserta. It was awarded the title of "City of art" in 2008 and named Benedictine city in 1997. It is located in the Naples hinterland. Segrate ( lmo, label=Milanese, Segraa ) is a town and ''comune'' (municipality) located in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy. Lecco
Lecco (, , ; lmo, label=Lecchese, Lècch ) is a city of 48,131 inhabitants in Lombardy, northern Italy, north of Milan.
