Martin Glváč
Martin Glváč () born 20 November 1967) is a Slovak politician for the Direction - Social Democracy ( sk, Smer-SD). He was Minister of Defence in Fico's Second Cabinet from 2012 to 2016. and a Deputy Speaker of the National Council between 2016 and 2020. Radoslav Procházka (born 31 March 1972) is a Slovak lawyer, former politician and former leader of the political party Sieť. He was an unsuccessful candidate in 2014 Slovak presidential election, running as an independent. Richard Sulík
Richard Sulík (; born 12 January 1968) is a Slovak politician, economist and businessman. He is the leader of the political party Freedom and Solidarity and served as Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister of Economy in Government of Slovakia led by Eduard Heger. Sulik and his party resigned from the government on August, 31 and early September. Life Born in 1968 in Czechoslovakia, Sulík emigrated in 1980 with his parents to West Germany, where they lived in the city of Pforzheim. In 1987 he went to Munich to study physics and later economics at the Ludwig Maximilian University. Freedom And Solidarity
Freedom and Solidarity ( sk, Sloboda a solidarita, SaS) is a liberal political party in Slovakia. Established in 2009, SaS is led by its founder and economist Richard Sulík, who designed Slovakia's flat tax system. It generally holds libertarian or anti-statist positions. After the 2020 Slovak parliamentary election, the party lost several seats in the National Council but was part of the coalition government with For the People and We Are Family. Sas is Eurosceptic, supports civil libertarian policies including advocating drug liberalisation and same-sex marriage, and has an economic liberal platform based on the ideas of the Austrian School. The party launched a campaign called Referendum 2009 to hold a referendum on reforming and cutting the cost of politics. The Slovak Democratic and Christian Union – Democratic Party ( sk, Slovenská demokratická a kresťanská únia – Demokratická strana, SDKÚ-DS) was a liberal-conservative, Christian-democratic political party in Slovakia. The SDKÚ-DS was a member of the Centrist Democrat International and was a member of the European People's Party until 2018, when it was expelled. SDKÚ was a major right-wing conservative party in Slovakia for 12 years. During their governance, Slovakia became member of European Union and North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Béla Bugár (born 7 July 1958) is a Slovak politician of Hungarian ethnicity. He was a member of the Slovak parliament from 1992 to 2020, briefly serving as its acting Speaker in 2006. Most–Híd (, ; from the Slovak and Hungarian words for "bridge") was an inter-ethnic political party in Slovakia. Its programme calls for greater cooperation between the country's Hungarian minority and ethnic Slovak majority. It was one of four parties in the Fico III government coalition, but lost all its seats in the National Council in the 2020 Slovak parliamentary election. The party was formed in June 2009 by dissidents from the Party of the Hungarian Coalition (SMK-MKP), which they accused of being too nationalistic. Most–Híd seeks to offer an alternative to ethnic politics by promoting inter-ethnic cooperation. Led by the SMK-MKP's former chairman Béla Bugár, the party claimed to have an electorate that is two-thirds ethnic Hungarian and one-third ethnic Slovak. Igor Matovič
Igor Matovič (born May 11, 1973) is a Slovak politician and former businessman. He previously served as Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia and Minister of Finance from April 2021 to December 2022 and Prime Minister from March 2020 to March 2021. Born in Trnava, he studied at Comenius University and went into the publishing business. Elected to the National Council in 2010 on the Freedom and Solidarity party list, Matovič founded the Ordinary People (Obyčajní ľudia) movement in 2011, which ran on an anti-corruption platform and was politically aligned with the centre right.
