2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship Season
The 2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy was the second season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The season consisted of thirteen rounds and started on 25 April with the Portuguese round at Montalegre. The season ended on 29 November, at Rosario, Santa Fe in Argentina. Calendar On 20 February 2015 it was announced that the series would support the opening round of the 2015 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters season, at Hockenheim. The FIA World Rallycross Championship (official abbreviation is World RX) is a rallycross series organised by the FIA in conjunction with series promoter Rallycross Promoter GmbH (founded by Red Bull and KW25). 2015 World RX Of Belgium
The 2015 World RX of Belgium was the 3rd round of the second season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The event was held at the Circuit Jules Tacheny Mettet in Mettet, Wallonia. Marklund Motorsport driver Toomas Heikkinen became the third different winner in the 2015 season, having won his semi-final as well. Second place went to defending champion, and championship leader Petter Solberg (SDRX), while the podium was completed by Reinis Nitišs, driving for the OlsbergsMSE team. In the supporting round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship, Albatec Racing driver Jérôme Grosset-Janin took the victory, to take the lead in the drivers' championship. Grosset-Janin finished ahead of Ole Christian Veiby while Tamás Kárai was the only other finisher as he completed the podium. Toomas Heikkinen
Toomas "Topi" Heikkinen (born 27 March 1991) is a rallycross and ice-racing driver from Finland. He won the Finnish Rallycross Championship in 2010 and the Global Rallycross Championship in 2013. He currently competes in the FIA World Rallycross Championship Supercar category, driving for EKS racing team. Heikkinen began his racing career in karting, later moving up to single-seater formula. He switched to rallycross in 2010. The Circuit Jules Tacheny Mettet is a motor racing circuit in Mettet, Wallonia (Belgium), southeast of Charleroi. The circuit was finalized in 2010 near the old street circuit. Liam Doran (born 22 March 1987) is a British professional rallycross driver competing in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, Global RallyCross Championship, X Games, and European Rallycross Championship. He is the son of British rallycross driver and Lydden Hill Race Circuit owner Pat Doran. In his early life he attended Fulston Manor School in Sittingbourne. Having signed with Monster Energy in 2011 he has gone on to achieve an X Games Gold medal and numerous other accomplishments in various disciplines. Petter Solberg
Petter Solberg (born 18 November 1974) is a Norwegian former professional rally and rallycross driver. Solberg debuted in the World Rally Championship in 1998 and was signed by the Ford factory team in 1999. The following year, Solberg started his successful partnership with the Subaru World Rally Team. With the Subaru works team, Solberg finished runner-up to Marcus Grönholm in 2002 and then became the first Norwegian to win the drivers' world title in 2003. In the following two seasons, he finished runner-up to Sébastien Loeb.
