2015 Eurocup Finals
The 2015 Eurocup Finals were the concluding two games of the 2014–15 Eurocup Basketball season. BC Khimki and Herbalife Gran Canaria faced of in a two-legged series. It was the third time that Khimki played in a Eurocup Finals, after their league title in 2011 and being runners-up in 2009. For Gran Canaria it was the first ever Finals appearance ever, after they never reached a stage further than the quarterfinals in history. The winner of the Finals would play in the 2015–16 Euroleague regular season. 2014–15 Eurocup Basketball
The 2014–15 Eurocup Basketball season was the 13th edition of Europe's second-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs, the EuroCup. The EuroCup is the European-wide league level that is one level below the EuroLeague. Khimki won the competition, after beating Herbalife Gran Canaria in the Finals, and earned a spot in the regular season of the 2015–16 Euroleague. Competition format The competition format was the same as in the 2013–14 season, but reducing the Regular Season. For this year 36 teams joined this first stage and were divided into two conferences. The Regular Season featured six groups of six teams each one, where the four best teams qualified to the Last 32 stage with the eight teams that do not qualify to the 2014–15 Euroleague Top 16. Marko Popović (born 12 June 1982) is a Croatian basketball executive and former professional basketball player. Standing at a height of , he played at the point guard and shooting guard positions. James Augustine (born February 27, 1984) is a retired American professional basketball player who played as a forward. During the career he played college basketball for the Illinois Fighting Illini before being drafted 41st overall in the 2006 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic. Rimas Kurtinaitis (born May 15, 1960) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach, and a retired professional basketball player, who was a member of the senior Soviet and Lithuanian national basketball teams during his playing career. He won a gold medal at 1988 Olympics in South Korea. He recently worked as the head coach for Khimki. At a height of 1.96 m (6'5") tall, during his playing career, he played at the shooting guard position. Alejandro 'Aíto' García Reneses (born 20 December 1946 in Madrid, Spain), usually known as just Aíto, is a Spanish former professional basketball coach and former player. As a head coach, as well as leading Spain's national team to Olympic silver, he has won nine Spanish Liga ACB titles, all of them with FC Barcelona. Rüştü Nuran (born March 30, 1976) is a Turkish basketball referee and surgeon. He officiates FIBA games since June 10, 2005. Nuran studied Medicine at Marmara University graduating in 2001. Paul Davis (born July 21, 1984) is an American retired professional basketball player. Standing at , he played at the power forward and center positions. Early years Davis started his career at Reuther Middle School where his number has been retired. Davis played for Rochester High School, earning Mr. Basketball of Michigan honors in 2002. As a center for the Michigan State Spartans, he finished the 2005 season as the NCAA Tournament's leading rebounder. Egor Ivanovich Vyaltsev (russian: Егор Иванович Вяльцев, born 10 October 1985) is a Russian professional basketball player who plays for Samara.
