2015 Desert Diamond Cup
The 2015 Desert Diamond Cup was a soccer exhibition featuring five soccer teams from Major League Soccer and one from USL Premier Development League, held from February 18 to February 28, 2015. It was the 5th annual Desert Diamond Cup and was won by Real Salt Lake. Teams The following six clubs will participate in the 2015 tournament: * Colorado Rapids (second appearance) *Sporting Kansas City (second appearance) *New England Revolution (fourth appearance) *Real Salt Lake (fourth appearance) *Seattle Sounders FC (second appearance) *FC Tucson (third appearance) Table standings Matches The tournament will feature a round-robin group stage followed by fifth-place, third-place and championship matches. Real Salt Lake, often shortened to RSL, is an American professional soccer franchise based in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The club competes as a member club of Major League Soccer (MLS) in the Western Conference. RSL began play in 2005 as an expansion team of the league. The club was founded in 2004 when the club's first owner and founder was awarded an expansion berth in Major League Soccer. Francisco Javier Flores Ibarra (born 17 January 1994) is a Mexican professional footballer who last played for Atlante. He is used mainly used as a right-back. Lamar Neagle (born May 7, 1987) is an American professional soccer player who plays for the Tacoma Stars in the Major Arena Soccer League. He has spent most of his career with the Seattle Sounders FC of Major League Soccer over the course of several stints; Neagle has also played for Montreal Impact and D.C. Darrius Barnes (born December 24, 1986) is a retired American soccer player. He played the majority of his professional career for the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer, the top flight of professional soccer in the United States. He primarily played defender. Career Youth and College Barnes played high school soccer at Southeast Raleigh High School, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He started for Varsity all four years. Jair Marrufo
Jair Marrufo (born June 7, 1977) is an American soccer referee. He has been a referee in Major League Soccer since 2002 and a FIFA referee since 2007. Career Marrufo was 2008 MLS Referee of the Year. Marrufo was suspended by MLS for the remainder of the 2009 MLS season as of September 1, 2009, for poor performance over the course of the season, and subsequently on February 5, 2010, Marrufo was removed from the 2010 World Cup referee list. Kino Sports Complex
Kino Sports Complex is a multiple-use sports complex in Tucson, Arizona. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox formerly utilized the complex's main ballpark, Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, for Cactus League games each March and had their minor league complexes on-site. The ballpark was also home to the Tucson Sidewinders of the Pacific Coast League for the team's last decade in Tucson, running from the stadium's 1998 opening season to the 2008 season. The ballpark was a temporary home (2011–2013) to the Tucson Padres (formerly the Portland Beavers) of the Pacific Coast League during the team's relocation to El Paso, Texas.
