2015 CS Denkova-Staviski Cup
The 2015 Denkova-Staviski Cup was a senior international figure skating competition held in October 2015 at the Winter Sports Palace in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was part of the 2015–16 ISU Challenger Series. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, and ice dancing. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. Juri Kurakin
Juri Kurakin (born 3 August 1987) is a former competitive ice dancer who is best known for his partnership with Barbora Silná for Austria. Together, they won three Austrian national titles and reached the final segment at three ISU Championships. Earlier in his career, Kurakin competed for Estonia and Bulgaria. Personal life Kurakin was born 3 August 1987 in Tallinn, Estonia. He is the younger brother of Dmitri Kurakin, an ice dancer who competed internationally for Estonia and Germany. Matteo Rizzo
Matteo Rizzo (born 5 September 1998) is an Italian figure skater. He is a two-time European Championship medalist (silver in 2023, bronze in 2019), a three-time Grand Prix bronze medalist, the 2019 Winter Universiade champion, a two-time Italian national champion (2018 and 2023), and a seven-time silver national medalist (2015-2017, 2019-2022). Franz Streubel
Franz Streubel (born 24 September 1991) is a German former competitive figure skater. He is a two-time (2015–16) German national champion and has won six senior international medals, including gold at the 2012 Bavarian Open and 2014 NRW Trophy. He has finished in the top 15 at three European Championships. Career Streubel debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in 2007. His first senior international event was the 2007 Finlandia Trophy. He was coached by Karel Fajfr in Oberstdorf during the 2008–09 season. Vlasta Kopřivová and Michael Huth became Streubel's coaches the following season, working with him in Oberstdorf. Romain Ponsart (born 27 April 1992) is a retired French figure skater. He is the 2012 Triglav Trophy bronze medalist and 2015 Toruń Cup champion. He is a six-time French National medalist.
