Toma Junior Popov
Toma Junior Popov (born 29 September 1998) is a French badminton player. He won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the boys' singles event. Popov made history as the first non-Danish male player to win a European Junior team gold as well as the men's singles and doubles in 2017. He joined Peter Gade, Jim Laugesen, and Thomas Stuer-Lauridsen as the only men to have ever completed the treble. He competed at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and claimed the men's singles bronze medal. Personal life Born in Sofia, Popov came from a badminton family. His father, Thomas, is a former Bulgarian and French national player. His brother, Christo Popov, also plays badminton. Both of them trained at the Fos-sur-Mer club. Ren Xiangyu
Ren Xiangyu (; born 23 October 1998) is a Chinese badminton player. Born in Luzhou, Sichuan province, he has shown his talent in badminton since he was a child. He once trained at the Luzhou sports school, and entered the national team in 2016. He helped the junior national team to clinch the mixed team titles at the 2015 and 2016 Asian Junior Championships, and also at the 2015 and 2016 World Junior Championships. He claimed his first senior international title at the 2018 U.S. Open in the men's doubles event partnered with Ou Xuanyi. Badminton World Federation
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations (Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales). In 1981 the IBF merged with the World Badminton Federation, and on 24 September 2006, at the Extraordinary General Meeting in Madrid, the name of the organization was changed to Badminton World Federation (BWF). Thom Gicquel
Thom Mark Gicquel (born 12 January 1999) is a French badminton player. Born in Tours, he started playing badminton at aged six in his parents club. Gicquel made his debut in the international senior tournament at the 2015 Riga International in Latvia, finished as the men's doubles runner-up partnered with Thomas Baures. He was part of the national junior team that won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships, and made it to the gold medal in 2017. He also won the gold medal in the boys' doubles event with Toma Junior Popov. At the 2018 European Men's Team Championships, he helped the team claim the bronze medal. Teamed-up with Bastian Kersaudy, they clinched the men's doubles gold at the 2018 Mediterranean Games. He captured a bronze medal at the 2019 European Games in the mixed doubles event with Delphine Delrue. Han Chengkai (, born 29 January 1998) is a Chinese badminton player. He won the boys' doubles title at the 2016 Asian and World Junior Championships. Han also part of the Chinese team that won the 2019 Tong Yun Kai and Sudirman Cups. Together with his partner Zhou Haodong, he was awarded as the 2018 Most Promising Player of the Year by the BWF. He announced his retirement at the age of 23 after competed at the National Games on 13 September 2021. Goh Sze Fei
Goh Sze Fei ( zh, t=吳世飛, p=Wú Shìfēi; born 18 August 1997) is a Malaysian badminton player. He won the 2022 German Open in the men's doubles event partnered with Nur Izzuddin, their first BWF World Tour title. Early life Goh finished his primary school in SJK(C) Chung Hua Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. During his secondary school period, which was in Sekolah Mengengah Kebangsaan Tunku Besar at Tampin, he managed to get recruited into Badminton Association of Malaysia during his secondary school period to be trained as a national player. Goh comes from a typical Malaysia Chinese family based in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. There are 4 siblings in his family and he is the youngest among the siblings.
