2015 All-SEC Football Team
The 2015 All-SEC football team consists of American football players selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by the ''Associated Press'' (AP) and the conference coaches for the 2015 Southeastern Conference football season. The Alabama Crimson Tide won the conference, beating the Florida Gators 29 to 15 in the SEC Championship. Alabama running back and Heisman Trophy recipient Derrick Henry was unanimously voted the AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year. 2015 Southeastern Conference Football Season
The 2015 Southeastern Conference football season represented the 83rd season of SEC football taking place during the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The season began on September 3 with South Carolina defeating North Carolina on ESPN. This was the fourth season for the SEC under realignment that took place in 2012 adding Texas A&M and Missouri from the Big 12 Conference. The SEC is a Power Five conference under the College Football Playoff format along with the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big 12 Conference, the Big Ten Conference, and the Pac-12 Conference. The SEC consists of 14 members: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt; and is split up into the East and West divisions, with the champion of each division meeting in Atlanta to compete for the SEC Championship on December 5. Alex Collins (American Football)
Alex Collins (born August 26, 1994) is an American football running back for the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League (USFL). He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round, 171st overall, of the 2016 NFL Draft. Collins spent two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens in 2017 and 2018 before getting re-signed by Seattle in 2020. He played college football at Arkansas. Early years Collins attended South Plantation High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he was a letterman in football, basketball, lacrosse, and track. He was coached by Doug Gatewood. Braden Smith (born March 25, 1996) is an American football offensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Auburn. Early years A native of Olathe, Kansas, Smith attended Olathe South High School, where he was a two-way lineman on the football varsity. Smith was credited with 82 pancake blocks on offense, 59 tackles on defense in his senior season. Vadal Alexander (born March 23, 1994) is an American football guard for the St. Louis Battlehawks of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at LSU. Alexander was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Sebastian Giovanni Andre Tretola (born May 1, 1992) is a former American football guard. He played college football at Arkansas, Iowa Western, and Nevada. Professional career Tennessee Titans Tretola was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round, 193rd overall, in the 2016 NFL Draft. Ethan Pocic ( ) (born August 5, 1995) is an American football center for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU. Pocic has also played the guard position. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection by SEC coaches as a junior in 2015. As a senior in 2016, Pocic was a finalist for the Rimington Trophy.
