2014–15 Vermont Catamounts Women's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Vermont Catamounts women's basketball team will represent the University of Vermont in the America East Conference. The Catamounts were led by fifth year head coach Lori Gear McBride and will once again play their home games in the Patrick Gym. They finished the season 5-24, 2-14 in America East play in a tie for an eighth-place finish. They lost in the quarterfinals of the 2015 America East women's basketball tournament to Albany. Media All non-televised home games and conference road games will stream on either ESPN3 or AmericaEast.tv. Select home games will be televised by the Northeast Sports Network. Most road games will stream on the opponents website. All games will be broadcast on WVMT 620 AM and streamed online through SportsJuice.com with Rob Ryan calling the action. Lori Gear McBride
Lori Gear McBride (born July 27, 1974) a Canadian-American basketball player and coach, and former head coach of the University of Vermont Catamounts women's basketball team. Playing career Gear McBride was born in Lennoxville, Quebec (now Sherbrooke, Quebec), and played scholastically at Alexander Galt HS and Champlain College before accepting a scholarship to the University of North Carolina. She helped the Tar Heels to the 1994 National Championship and later served as captain in both her junior and senior seasons, leading UNC to three ACC titles during her four years in Chapel Hill. Coaching career After one season playing professionally in Portugal, she started her coaching career at Seton Hall University, spending 6 years at the BIG EAST school, including two as Assistant Head Coach. The 2014–15 Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens women's basketball team represents the University of Delaware during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Fightin' Blue Hens, led by nineteenth year head coach Tina Martin, play their home games at the Bob Carpenter Center and were members of the Colonial Athletic Association. They finished the season 15–17, 8–10 CAA play to finish in seventh place. They advanced to the semifinals of the CAA women's tournament where they lost to Hofstra. Kress Events Center
The Kress Events Center, also known as the KEC or the Kress, is a multipurpose athletic facility located in Green Bay, Wisconsin on the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay campus. The facility's main gym (Kress Events Center Arena) hosts the UW-Green Bay women's basketball and volleyball teams. Other facilities onsite include a fitness center shared by athletes and the student body, athletic training facilities, and the administrative offices of UW-Green Bay's athletics program. The 2014–15 Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team represented the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. Their head coach, Kevin Borseth, was in the third season of his second stint at Green Bay and 12th overall at the school. The Phoenix played their home games at the Kress Events Center and were members of the Horizon League. It was the 36th season of Green Bay women's basketball. They finished the season 28–5, 15–1 in Horizon play to win the Horizon League regular and tournament titles to earn an automatic to the 2015 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament. The Generoso Pope Athletic Complex, also known as The Pope, is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It is located on Remsen Street, between Court and Clinton Streets, within the St. Francis College campus. The Pope is named after Generoso Pope, an Italian immigrant who rose to prominence in New York City through his entrepreneurship and charity. The Pope is composed of three levels, on the lower level is the Aquatics Center, above it is the Daniel Lynch Gymnasium and on top is the Genovesi Center.
