2014–15 Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters basketball team represented the Louisiana Tech University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Lady Techsters, led by first year head coach Tyler Summitt, played their home games at the Thomas Assembly Center and were members of Conference USA. They finished the season 16–15, 10–8 in C-USA play to finish in a tie for seventh place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the C-USA women's tournament where they lost to Middle Tennessee State University. Tyler Summitt
Ross Tyler Summitt (born September 21, 1990) is a former American college basketball player and coach. Early years Summitt was born September 21, 1990 to R. B. Summitt, II and Pat Head Summitt. Pat Summitt was a former head coach of the University of Tennessee women's basketball team. Throughout his childhood, Summitt was often photographed with his mother at UT women’s basketball games and championships. In 2006, Summitt graduated cum laude from high school at the Webb School of Knoxville where he was a three-year starter in basketball. In his senior year, Summitt earned Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the Spartan Award as a point guard. He played basketball at the University of Tennessee as a freshman and sophomore. Humphrey Coliseum
Humphrey Coliseum is a 10,575-seat multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Mississippi State University, just outside Starkville, Mississippi, that opened for the 1975-76 basketball season. Nicknamed The Hump, it is home to the Mississippi State Bulldogs men's and women's basketball teams. It is the largest on-campus basketball arena in the state of Mississippi. The building is the equivalent of seven stories high and is in the shape of an oval 318' long by 268' wide. The outside is marked by regular concrete columns and Mississippi red brick siding, and the school seal adorns the front of the building. In 2004, a center hung scoreboard was provided by the Henry Mize Foundation. The scoreboard featured four sides, each with a video screen. The 2014–15 Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs basketball team will represent Mississippi State University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season college basketball season. The Lady Bulldogs were led by third year head coach Vic Schaefer. They play their home games at Humphrey Coliseum and were members of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 27–7, 11–5 in SEC play to finish in third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the SEC women's tournament to Kentucky. Loyola Wolfpack
The Loyola Wolf Pack are the athletic teams representing Loyola University New Orleans in intercollegiate athletics. The Wolf Pack are a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) since the 2010–11 academic year. They previously competed in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) from 1995–96 to 2009–10. Pete Maravich Assembly Center
The Pete Maravich Assembly Center is a 13,215-seat multi-purpose arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The arena opened in 1972. It is home to the Louisiana State University Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball teams, the LSU Tigers women's gymnastics team and the LSU Tigers women's volleyball team. It was originally known as the LSU Assembly Center, but was renamed in honor of Pete Maravich, a Tiger basketball legend, shortly after his death in 1988. Louisiana governor Buddy Roemer signed an act to rename the building in Maravich's honor (under Louisiana law, no LSU or state owned building may be named after a living person). Maravich never played in the arena as a collegian but played in it as a member of the Atlanta Hawks in a preseason game. Huntsville is a city in Madison County, Limestone County, and Morgan County, Alabama, United States. It is the county seat of Madison County. Elmore Gymnasium
T.M. Elmore Gymnasium is a 6,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Normal, the northern part of Huntsville, Alabama, United States. It is home to the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs women's volleyball team, and was also home to the A&M men's and women's basketball teams before their 2022 move to the new Alabama A&M Events Center. The gymnasium is informally known as "The Dog House" due to the hot temperature and loud environment for opposing teams.
