2014–15 Eastern Michigan Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represented Eastern Michigan University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by fourth year head coach Rob Murphy, played their home games at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center, as members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 21–14, 8–10 in MAC play to finish in a tie for fourth place in the West Division. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the MAC tournament where they lost to Toledo. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they lost in the first round to Louisiana–Monroe. Rob Murphy (basketball)
Robert Murphy Sr. (born September 19, 1973) is an American basketball executive, former coach and player. He is currently the Assistant General Manager of the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and President of the Motor City Cruise of the NBA G League, the affiliate of the Pistons. He previously served as the head men's basketball coach for the Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball, Eastern Michigan Eagles from 2011 to 2021. Murphy, an inductee of the Central State University Alumni Achievement Hall of Fame, March 1, 2022 and also an inductee of the Mumford High School Hall of Fame, October 1, 2019. Howell, Michigan
Howell is the largest city and county seat of Livingston County, Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 9,489. The city is mostly surrounded by Howell Township, but the two are administered autonomously. Two human polls make up the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball rankings, the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll, in addition to various publications' preseason polls. Legend AP Poll This poll is compiled by sportswriters across the nation. In Division I men's and women's college basketball, the AP Poll is largely just a tool to compare schools throughout the season and spark debate, as it has no bearing on postseason play. USA Today Coaches Poll The Coaches Poll is the second oldest poll still in use after the AP Poll. It is compiled by a rotating group of 32 college Division I head coaches. The Poll operates by Borda count. Each voting member ranks teams from 1 to 25. Each team then receives points for their ranking in reverse order: Number 1 earns 25 points, number 2 earns 24 points, and so forth. Bushkill, Pennsylvania
Bushkill is an unincorporated community in Pike County, Pennsylvania, United States. Portions of Bushkill were seized by the United States government during the controversial Tocks Island Dam project and are now part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
