Bushkill, Pennsylvania
Bushkill is an unincorporated community in Pike County, Pennsylvania, United States. Portions of Bushkill were seized by the United States government during the controversial Tocks Island Dam project and are now part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Bushkill's transportation options are somewhat limited. It is served by Monroe County Transit Authority's Yellow Line, and the Port Jervis Station just above the border of the State of New York and Pennsylvania, where U.S. Route 209 ends. The station is the terminal station of the New Jersey Transit's Port Jervis Line, and it is operated by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Metro-North Railroad. Frank Schoonover
Frank Earle Schoonover (August 19, 1877 – September 1, 1972) was an American illustrator who worked in Wilmington, Delaware. A member of the Brandywine School, he was a contributing illustrator to magazines and did more than 5,000 paintings. Early life Schoonover was born on August 19, 1877 in Oxford, New Jersey. He studied under Howard Pyle at the Drexel Institute in Philadelphia. Career Schoonover became part of what would be known as the Brandywine School. A prolific contributor to books and magazines during the early twentieth century, the so-called "Golden Age of Illustration", he illustrated stories as diverse as Clarence Mulford's ''Hopalong Cassidy'' stories and Edgar Rice Burroughs's ''A Princess of Mars''. East Stroudsburg Station
East Stroudsburg is an historic train station built by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad in 1856. The station served as the local stop for both East Stroudsburg and Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The depot, recently known locally as the Dansbury Depot for the restaurant that used the building, is located on Crystal Street in East Stroudsburg. Service to East Stroudsburg ended on January 6, 1970, when the Erie Lackawanna Railway discontinued the '' Lake Cities''. Port Jervis Line
The Port Jervis Line is a predominantly single-track commuter rail line running between Suffern and Port Jervis, in the U.S. state of New York. At Suffern, the line continues south into New Jersey as NJ Transit's Main Line. The line is operated by NJ Transit Rail Operations under a working agreement with Metro-North Railroad (MNRR). Norfolk Southern Railway (NS) shares the use of the track for local freight operations between Suffern and Port Jervis.
