2014–15 ASL Season
The 2014-15 American Soccer League season is the first in league history. Historically, it is the fourth league to be called ''American Soccer League''. The fall season began on August 23 with two games and ended on November 8. The spring season started on April 4 and ended on June 23. Cranston Stebbins Stadium is a multi-use stadium complex located in Cranston, Rhode Island. It consists of Magciacomo Field, a baseball field, as well as Stebbins Field, an athletic field suitable for playing football, soccer, field hockey or lacrosse. Home field was Pierce field East Providence RI Rhode Island Oceaneers was a soccer team. History The original Rhode Island Oceaneers soccer team was established in 1974. That season, they won the league title after a 16-2 regular season. U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame (1990) coach Manny Schellscheidt was named ASL Coach of the Year as the club outscored opponents 56-16. For the 1977 season, the team was renamed the New England Oceaneers. Schellscheidt moved on to coach the New Jersey Americans, replaced by Massachusetts Hall of Famer (1999) John Bertos. The school serves students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the Washington Township Public School District. Washington Township is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 U.S. census, the township's population was 48,677, an increase of 118 from the 2010 census count of 48,559, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,445 (+3.1%) from the 47,114 counted in the 2000 census. For 2021, the Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program calculated a population of 49,391. Manning Bowl
Manning Bowl was an American football and soccer stadium located in Lynn, Massachusetts. It was the home stadium for Lynn English, Lynn Classical, Lynn Tech, St. Mary's High School, the Boston Rovers of the United Soccer Association in 1967, and the Bay State Titans of the Minor League Football System in 1990. Demolished in 2005, it was replaced by Manning Field built at the same location. High school football Manning Bowl, a WPA project, opened on November 24, 1937 for the annual Thanksgiving Day football game between English and Classical.
