2014 WSOP
The 2014 World Series of Poker is the 45th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). It was held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Paradise, Nevada, USA, between May 27 – July 14, 2014. There were 65 bracelet events, culminating in the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event beginning on July 5. The November Nine concept returned for a seventh year, with the Main Event finalists returning on November 10. For the first time, the Main Event had a guaranteed $10 million first prize. The $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop was also held for the second time. Rio All-Suite Hotel And Casino
The Rio is a hotel and casino near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, Paradise, Nevada, United States. It is owned by Dreamscape Companies LLC and operated by Eldorado Resorts, Caesars Entertainment. It includes a casino and 2,520 suites. It features a Brazilian theme based on Rio Carnival. The Rio opened on January 15, 1990, with a casino and 424 suites. It was the first all-suite hotel in the Las Vegas Valley. It was owned by Anthony Marnell and built by Marnell Corrao Associates. The property struggled during its first two years because of its off-Strip location, but it would eventually thrive. The Rio's success prompted a number of hotel expansions in the 1990s. Phillip Jerome Hellmuth Jr. (born July 16, 1964) is an American professional poker player who has won a record sixteen World Series of Poker bracelets. He is the winner of the Main Event of the 1989 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the Main Event of the 2012 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE), and he is a 2007 inductee of the WSOP's Poker Hall of Fame. John Kabbaj
Jean-Michel (John) Kabbaj (born 19 June 1973 in Birmingham, Warwickshire) is an English professional poker player, referred to by The Hendon Mob as their unofficial fifth member. Before poker Kabbaj quit school at the age of 16. He worked as a builder and was later employed at Heathrow Airport. Pierre Neuville
Pierre Neuville (born 2 January 1943) is a professional poker player from Belgium, known as the Serial PokerStars Qualifier, most notably for his record 23 consecutive EPT Main Event qualifications. Neuville is the oldest PokerStars Team Pro and one of the November Nine in the 2015 World Series of Poker finishing 7th. Early life Neuville was born in 1943 in Montigny-le-Tilleul, Belgium. He discovered poker in 1957 and played throughout his 6 years at Universite Libre de Bruxelles, which he attended in 1963-1969. Douglas K. Polk (born December 16, 1988) is an American professional poker player. Polk played under the alias WCGRider, specializing in heads-up No Limit hold'em (HUNL). Early life Polk was born in Pasadena, California, and has loved strategy games ever since he was five, when his father taught him chess. Dominik Nitsche (born 1990) is a professional poker player, originally from Minden, Germany but now residing in Edinburgh, Scotland. Nitsche began playing poker online in 2006, amassing winnings exceeding $3 million. In 2009, playing in his first live poker tournament, he won a Latin American Poker Tour event in Mar del Plata, Argentina, earning $381,000. John Hennigan (born August 10, 1970) is an American professional poker player from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who, in his career, has won six World Series of Poker bracelets and a World Poker Tour (WPT) title. Daniel Heimiller (born June 25, 1962) is an American professional poker player who won the Limit Hold'em & Seven-Card Stud event at the 2002 World Series of Poker and the Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship in 2014. Davidi Kitai (born 28 September 1979) is a Belgian professional poker player who won the 2008 World Series of Poker $2,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em event for $244,583, becoming the first Belgian to win a WSOP bracelet. He also has won 2 other bracelets and has an EPT title and a WPT title, along with numerous other big scores and titles. In February 2011, Kitai won his second big title in the WPT Celebrity Invitational event, earning $100,000.
