The 2014 Volta a Portugal was a men's road bicycle race held from 30 July to 10 August 2014. It was the 76th edition of the men's stage race to be held, which was established in 1927. As part of the 2014 UCI Europe Tour, it is rated as a 2.1 event. The Spanish cyclist Gustavo César from won the race. 2014 UCI Europe Tour
The 2014 UCI Europe Tour was the tenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2014 season began on 2 February 2014 with the Grand Prix d'Ouverture La Marseillaise, Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise and ended on 19 October 2014 with the Chrono des Nations. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Europe Tour cycling jersey. Riccardo Zoidl of Austria was the defending champion of the 2013 UCI Europe Tour. The 2014 Europe Tour was won by Tom Van Asbroeck. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Víctor De La Parte
Víctor de la Parte González (born 22 June 1986 in Vitoria-Gasteiz) is a Spanish cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . He was named in the start list for the 2017 Giro d'Italia. In August 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Vuelta a España. De la Parte crashed out on stage 6 of the race, being one of four riders to abandon due to a crash. Montalegre
Montalegre () is a municipality in northern Portugal, located in the district of Vila Real, along the border with Spain. The population in 2011 was 10,537, in an area of 805.46 km². History Early construction in Montalegre date back 3500–4000 years when early inhabitants, around the villages of Mourela, Veiga and Vila da Ponte, buried their dead in funeral mounds.
