2014 Se Og Hør Media Scandal
The 2014 ''Se og Hør'' media scandal (Danish language, Danish: ''Se og Hør''-sagen), also known as the Nets-scandal (Danish language, Danish: Nets-skandalen) or the hush-hush scandal (Danish language, Danish: tys-tys-skandalen), was a media and IT surveillance scandal in Denmark that broke in 2014. An IT professional employed at IBM leaked sensitive personal data from the Nordic countries, Nordic payment services company Nets to the Danish gossip magazine ''Se og Hør'', which allowed the magazine to obtain information on celebrities' and other individuals' use of credit cards. The scandal came to public attention late in April 2014 after the publication (in Denmark) of the journalist and author Ken B. ''Billed Bladet'' (Danish: The Picture Magazine) is a weekly entertainment and royal magazine published in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded in 1938 it is one of the oldest magazines in the country. It was started as a conservative political magazine, but later it was redesigned in its present format. History and profile ''Billed Bladet'' was first published on 5 April 1938. The magazine was modelled on the American magazines ''Life'' and '' Look''. ''Billed Bladet'' is part of Aller Media. The former owner of the magazine was Den Berlingske Gruppe. Ritzaus Bureau A/S, or Ritzau for short, sometimes stylized as /ritzau/, is a Danish news agency founded by Erik Ritzau in 1866. It collaborates with three other Scandinavian news agencies to provide Nordic News, an English-language Scandinavian news service. It is based in Copenhagen and Lars Vesterløkke is editor-in-chief and CEO of the company. History Ritzaus Bureau was founded by Erik Nicolai Ritzau in Copenhagen on 1 February 1866 under the name Nordisk Centralbureau for Telegrammer. The agency received international news by telegram from Wolffs Bureau (now Deutsche Presse-Agentur, DPA) in Berlin. Erik Ritzau died in 1904. The Supreme Court (, lit. ''Highest Court'', , ) is the supreme court and the third and final instance in all civil and criminal cases in the Kingdom of Denmark. It is based at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen which also houses the Danish Parliament and the Prime Minister's office. Østre Landsret
The Østre Landsret (the Eastern High Court) is one of Denmark's two High Courts, along with the Vestre Landsret (Western High Court). Both High Courts function as a civil and criminal appellate court for cases from the subordinate courts and furthermore as a court of first instance in significant civil cases with issues of principle. The Østre Landsret sits in Copenhagen but has chambers in some Eastern towns and cities, such as Odense, used only for criminal cases. It has jurisdiction over all County Courts in Zealand, Funen, Lolland, Falster and Bornholm as well as the Faroe Islands. A municipal court decision can always be appealed to a High Court - if the disputed claim exceeds DKK 10.000. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company.
