2014 Savannah Steam Season
The 2015 Savannah Steam season was the first season for the professional indoor football franchise, and first in X-League Indoor Football (X-League). On October 15, 2013, the X-League announced the league would be expanding in to Reading, Pennsylvania with the Pennsylvania Steam. That same day, the team announced Shane Houser would be the team's first ever head coach. After playing one road game as the Pennsylvania Steam, the franchise was sold by Missouri Sports Holdings to an ownership group led by Bobby Dammarell in Savannah, Georgia. The team played their remaining three road games as the Savannah Steam, while the four home games that were scheduled to take place in Reading, Pennsylvania were cancelled and counted as wins for the opposing teams. Santander Arena
The Santander Arena (formerly known as the Sovereign Center) is a 7,160-seat multi-purpose arena, in Reading, Pennsylvania. It was built in 2001. The arena sits on the former site of the Astor Theater; one of several grand movie and theater palaces built in Reading in the early 20th century. Closed in 1975, the theater sat vacant for over two decades. In 1998, the Astor was demolished to make room for the Santander Arena. Early in construction, steps were taken to retain mementos of the Astor, including its ornate Art Deco chandelier and gates. These are on display and in use inside the arena corridors, allowing insight into the ambience of the former movie house. The Santander Arena is owned by the Berks County Convention Center Authority and managed by ASM Global. In 2000, the Rajah Shrine Theater was purchased, and after a thorough restoration and updating of the facilities was renamed the Sovereign Performing Arts Center. Georgia Rampage
The Georgia Rampage were a professional indoor football team based in Dalton, Georgia. They were members of X-League Indoor Football (X-League). The Rampage joined the X-League in 2014, after a few members of the Ultimate Indoor Football League (UIFL) had planned on making a new league. The Rampage originally began play in 2012 as an expansion team of the UIFL, going by the name of the Rome Rampage. The Rampage played their home games at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center in Dalton. Franchise history The team was initially named the Rome River Dogs, but licensing issues forced the name change (which licensing issues are unknown, however, as the team would have been the first indoor/arena team named the River Dogs, while most notably the Arena Football League had the Grand Rapids Rampage.) The Alabama Outlawz were a professional Indoor American football, indoor football team that resumed play in Arena Pro Football. They last played in the 2017 season at the Shelby County Exhibition Center in Columbiana, Alabama. They previously played in X-League Indoor Football while based in Birmingham, Alabama, with home games at Bill Harris Arena. Franchise history It was announced in November 2013 that the Alabama Outlawz would be joining X-League Indoor Football for its inaugural 2014 X-League Indoor Football season, 2014 season, playing their home games in Bill Harris Arena at the Birmingham CrossPlex. Family Arena
The Family Arena is a multi-purpose arena in St. Charles, Missouri, built in 1999. The arena seats 9,643 for hockey, 9,755 for football, 10,467 for basketball, 6,339 for half-house concerts and up to 11,522 for end-stage concerts. In addition to sporting events, concerts, circuses and ice shows the arena is also used for trade shows with a total of of exhibit space ( on the arena floor and on the arena concourse). The Dalton Convention Center is a multi-purpose venue in Dalton, Georgia built in 1991. Owned by the city of Dalton and by Whitfield County, the Convention Center is operated by the general manager and director of tourism, Doug Phipps and Margaret Thigpen. Bill Harris Arena
The W. F. "Bill" Harris State Fair Arena (called Bill Harris Arena or Fair Park Arena) is a 5,000-seat multipurpose indoor arena located at the Alabama State Fairgrounds. The arena is used primarily for basketball, but also hosts concerts and other events. The arena has previously served as the home of the Birmingham Magicians and the Birmingham Blitz of the American Basketball Association and the Alabama Outlawz of X-League Indoor Football. It is named in honor of Bill Harris, longtime athletics director for Birmingham City Schools. 2015 American Indoor Football Season
The 2015 American Indoor Football season was the tenth season of American Indoor Football (AIF). The regular season began March 20, 2015, and ended on May 23, 2015. Each team will played an 8-game schedule, with the exception of the Maryland Eagles, who were scheduled to play a 4-game schedule, all on the road. The top 4 teams in the league advanced to the playoffs that began on May 30, 2015. Pre-season The 2015 offseason saw major change for the AIF, as the defending champion Baltimore Mariners and Cleveland Patriots both folded and the Rochester Raiders suspended operations. The Cape Fear Heroes left the league to join the X-League Indoor Football. The league had also announced the expansion of the Buffalo Lightning and the Carolina Silverhawks.
