2014 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships
The 2014 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, the 33rd edition, was held in İzmir, Turkey, from September 21 to 28, 2014 at the İzmir Halkapınar Sport Hall. Yana Kudryavtseva of the Russian Federation became the youngest rhythmic gymnast to win back-to-back individual all-around titles in the World Championships at 16 years old. She was also awarded the Longines Prize for elegance, which saw her receive $5,000, a statue by Swiss artist Jean-Pierre Gerber, and a watch. The Bulgarian group won the group all-around, 18 years later since the Bulgarian group won gold in group at the 1996 World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. İzmir Halkapınar Sport Hall
İzmir Halkapınar Sport Hall ( tr, İzmir Halkapınar Spor Salonu) is an indoor multi-purpose sport venue that is located in the Halkapınar neighborhood of İzmir, Turkey. The hall has a seating capacity of 10,000 spectators. History Its construction began in December 2004, and the hall was put into service in June 2005 for the games of 2005 Summer Universiade. Viktoria Oleksiivna Mazur ( ua, Вікторія Олексіївна Мазур, russian: Виктория Алексеевна Мазур; born 15 October 1994 in Lugansk) is a retired Ukrainian rhythmic gymnast who competed in individual and group rhythmic gymnastics. Career Mazur began competing on the international junior level in 2007. At the 2008 European Junior Championships she was a member of the bronze medal-winning Team Ukraine. Mazur debuted as a senior in 2010. She competed at her first World Championships in 2011 in Montpellier, France, where Team Ukraine won the bronze medal. Marta Pagnini (born 21 January 1991) is a retired Italian group rhythmic gymnast from Prato, Italy. Career She was part of the 2010 and 2011 Italian Group that competed at the World Championships that won the Group All-around gold medal. Her teammates also won a pair of bronze medals at the 2012 World Cup Final in 5 Balls and 3 Ribbons + 2 Hoops.
