2014 Rally Italia Sardegna
The 2014 Rally Italia Sardegna was the sixth round of the 2014 World Rally Championship season. The event was based in Alghero, Sardinia, and started on 5 June and finished on 8 June after seventeen special stages, totaling 364.5 competitive kilometres. French driver Sébastien Ogier won the Rally Italia Sardegna for the second time in his career, taking his fourth win of eight victories during the 2014 season. Sébastien Ogier
Sébastien Ogier (born 17 December 1983) is a French rally driver, competing for the Toyota Gazoo Racing Team in the World Rally Championship (WRC), who is teamed with the co-driver Julien Ingrassia. He has won the World Rally Drivers' Championship 8 times, in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, & 2021. Achieving 55 victories in the World Rally Championship and 8 titles (6 consecutive, 2013–2018), he is the 2nd most successful WRC driver, after former Citroën WRC teammate Sébastien Loeb (9 titles). Furthermore, he is one of two drivers (together with Juha Kankkunen) to have won the World Championship with 3 different manufacturers. Eurolamp WRT (commonly known as just Eurolamp) is a Ukrainian rally team, currently competing in the World Rally Championship-2. Originally named MacCoffee Rally Team, the team was established in 2002 by Valeriy Gorban to compete in the Ukrainian Rally Championship, who entered a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX in the 2009 Rally Poland. Karl Kruuda (born 31 December 1992) is an Estonian rally driver. Rally career Kruuda debuted in the World Rally Championship at the 2010 Jordan Rally, finishing in 22nd place. In the 2010 World Rally Championship season, he drove Suzuki Swift S1600. His best result of the year was 2nd place in Junior World Rally Championship at the 2010 Rally de Portugal. DMACK, the parent company of DMACK Holdings Ltd., is a Rovereto, Italy, based tyre manufacturer which started as a company based in Carlisle, United Kingdom. History DMACK was founded in 2008 by Dick Cormack to deliver smaller tyre sizes than the ones supplied by industry giants, such as Michelin and Goodyear, specifically for the rally market. Proposed UK factory DMACK worked with Lehman Lee & Xu, the British government, and local authorities in its plans to build a tyre factory near Carlisle, England. The facility was scheduled to be complete by the end of 2017. It was speculated that it could bring up to 500 jobs when production is up to full scale.
