2014 National Rugby Championship
The 2014 National Rugby Championship (known as the Buildcorp National Rugby Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the inaugural season of Australia's National Rugby Championship, involving nine professional rugby union teams from around Australia. The competition kicked off on 21 August 2014. The final was held on 1 November 2014 and won by Brisbane City. David McDuling
David McDuling (born 7 April 1989 in Sydney, Australia) is a rugby union footballer for the in Super Rugby. He usually plays as a lock and previously played with the and Super Rugby teams, and for in the New Zealand Mitre 10 Cup competition. He was educated at Saint Ignatius' College, Riverview. Career Queensland Reds / Brisbane City McDuling joined the Academy in 2011; he was named in their squad for the 2012 Super Rugby season, but did not make any appearances due to an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury. Nick Stiles
Nick Stiles (born 17 October 1973) is an Australian professional rugby union coach and a former player for the Queensland Reds. He also played in twelve Tests for Australia as a loosehead prop. Family and early life Stiles was born in Melbourne, but grew up in Brisbane. He was educated at Gregory Terrace, where he rowed in the first VIII and played rugby for the first XV. Stiles was selected for the Australian Schoolboys side in 1992 and named as captain. Christopher Malone (born 8 January 1978 in Sydney) is an Australian rugby union coach and a former professional player. Malone is currently an assistant coach with the NSW Waratahs. Geoff Townsend (born 1964) is an Australian professional rugby union football coach. He is currently head coach of Sydney club Gordon RFC, and he was appointed as head coach of the North Harbour Rays for the inaugural season of Australia's National Rugby Championship in 2014. Brian "Billy" Melrose (born 9 May 1963) is an Australian professional rugby union coach and former player who played as a fly-half and inside centre. He was head coach of the Greater Sydney Rams for the inaugural season of Australia's National Rugby Championship in 2014. Family and early life Brian Melrose grew up in Baulkham Hills in Sydney, as the third of four brothers who all played first-grade rugby. His brother Tony Melrose is a former Wallaby who also played rugby league for Parramatta, Souths, Easts, Manly and New South Wales. Cameron Treloar
Cameron Treloar is an Australian rugby union player, formerly for Union Bordeaux Bègles in the Top 14. Career Cameron Treloar began his career with the New South Wales Waratahs in the Super 14 competition in 2005 before moving to the Queensland Reds in 2006. In 2007, he captained the Central Coast Rays in the inaugural Australian Rugby Championship (ARC), winning the competition the only time it was played. At the end of the 2007 Super 14 season he left to play for the Italian club Calvisano in the Super 10 winning the Italian Championship in 2008.
