Matthew Carraro
Matthew Carraro (born 4 August 1984) is an Australian former professional rugby union player. His usual positions were at centre or on the wing. Carraro played for the and in Super Rugby, as well as for Bath in England, and Montpellier and Toulon in France. Family and early life Matthew Carraro was born in Gosford, New South Wales. He is the nephew of former Avoca and Manly player at tighthead prop David Carraro. He attended St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill and was selected for the Australian Schools team in 2002. Carraro is married and has two children (a son and a daughter) with his wife Nardia. Career After signing a rookie contract with the for one season, he joined the in 2008. Carraro was selected for the Australia A team to play in the 2008 Pacific Nations Cup. He joined Bath Rugby in 2009, signing a two-year extension in summer 2011. Manly RUFC
Manly Rugby Union Football Club is a rugby union club based in Manly, a suburb of Sydney. The club was formed in 1883 and competes in the New South Wales Rugby Union competitions, the Charter Hall Shute Shield. Manly, known as the Marlins, play their home games at Manly Oval and train at Keirle Park. Manly Beaches and Manly Districts merged to form Manly RUFC. The District team's colours were chosen to represent to new club, whilst Beach's homeground, Manly Oval, was used for the merged club. Manly joined the first grade in 1906, but have roots back to 1883. The current club colours of red and blue came into being in the late 1900s. The club were a great force in the 1920s and 1930s. The 2016–17 Top 14 competition was the 118th French domestic rugby union club competition operated by the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR). Two new teams from the 2015–16 Pro D2 season were promoted to Top 14 this year, Bayonne and Lyon in place of the two relegated teams, Agen and Oyonnax. It marked the first time that both promoted teams had returned on their first opportunity after relegation (Bayonne and Lyon were both relegated during the 2014–15 Top 14 season). Ayumu Goromaru
is a former Japanese rugby union player who played at Fullback (rugby union), fullback for Yamaha Júbilo as well as the Japan national rugby union team. Career Goromaru made his international test debut against Uruguay national rugby union team, Uruguay in April 2005 as a 19-year-old and as the second youngest player to play for Japan of all time (he is now the third youngest). After his second cap against where he set up a try, ''The Japan Times'' called him the "face of the future" and he was one of the most highly rated young Japanese players. The 2014 Super Rugby season is the fourth season of the 15-team format for the Super Rugby competition involving teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. For sponsorship reasons, this competition is known as Asteron Life Super Rugby in Australia, Investec Super Rugby in New Zealand and Vodacom Super Rugby in South Africa.
