2014 Montreal Impact Season
The 2014 Montreal Impact season was the club's third season Major League Soccer, the top flight of both American and Canadian soccer. For the 2014 season, outside of MLS, the Impact competed in the 2014 Canadian Championship, Canada's domestic cup competition and the CONCACAF Champions League. Background Alessandro Nesta retired after last season. Options were declined for Paolo DelPiccolo, Maximiliano Leonel Rodríguez, and Siniša Ubiparipović. Heath Pearce (born August 13, 1984) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a defender for teams in Europe and North America. He represented his national team on 35 occasions. Pearce is currently the host of "The Mixer", "KPR" (Kick Power Rankings) and "WTF" (Walk Talk Football), all programs on the YouTube channel COPA90 US (formerly known as KICKTV). Institución Atlética Sud América, usually known as Sud América or just IASA, is a football club from Montevideo. They currently play in the Uruguayan Segunda Division. History Sud América has won the Uruguayan 2nd Division on 7 occasions, this is a national record they share with Fénix. Santiago Emiliano González Areco (born June 11, 1992) is an Uruguayan professional footballer. Career Club Santiago González began his career in the youth system of Montevideo club Sud América. In 2011, he made his first team debut and during the 2012–13 Uruguayan Segunda División season helped Sud América gain promotion to the top flight as Segunda División champions. In his first season in the Uruguayan Primera División González was the team's top scorer with five goals and two assists in 14 matches. The Creighton Bluejays, or Jays, are the athletic teams that represent Creighton University, a Jesuit/Catholic University in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. They compete in NCAA Division I in the Big East Conference. Sports sponsored Baseball Creighton's baseball team played its first Big East season in 2014. Eric Miller (born January 15, 1993) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Portland Timbers in Major League Soccer. Club career Early career Born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in Woodbury, Minnesota, Miller started playing soccer for the Bangu Tsunami and Minnesota Thunder Academy. The 2014 Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic was the fifth edition of the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic, a pre-season exhibition tournament held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. The 2014 edition was reportedly set to feature a field of eight teams including 5 MLS teams, two international teams, and USL Pro's Orlando City. Andrea Pisanu (born 7 January 1982) is an Italian football coach and former player who coaches Maltese club Hibernians. Club career Pisanu joined Hellas Verona F.C. from hometown club Cagliari Calcio in February 2001 for 800 million lire (€413,166). He was a member of the reserve team during the 2001–02 season.
