2014 Maryland Senate Election
The 2014 Maryland Senate election were held on November 4, 2014, to elect senators in all 47 districts of the Maryland Senate. Members were elected in single-member constituencies to four-year terms. These elections were held concurrently with various 2014 United States elections, federal and state elections, including for 2014 Maryland gubernatorial election, Governor of Maryland. Johnny Ray Salling
Johnny Ray Salling (born October 31, 1961) is an American politician from Maryland from the Republican Party. He is currently serving as a Maryland State Senator representing District 6, which covers southeast Baltimore County, including Dundalk, Essex and Rosedale. Early life and career Salling was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 31, 1961, where he graduated from Sparrows Point High School. In 1979, he joined the United States Army, serving as a combat engineer until 1981. Michael Hough (politician)
Michael Joseph Hough (born November 4, 1979) serves in the Maryland Senate representing District 4, which covers portions of Frederick and Carroll Counties. He was formerly a Delegate and chairman and of the Frederick County Republican Central Committee. He is a former Maryland state chair of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). Education Hough received a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Towson University. Career Hough served in the United States Air Force as a Minuteman-III missile maintenance technician; he was stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Michael previously served as the legislative aide to Maryland State Senator Alex X. Mooney. He was also the campaign manager for Sen. Mooney's successful re-election campaign.
