2014 Kazakhstan Cup
The 2014 Kazakhstan Cup is the 23rd season of the Kazakhstan Cup, the annual nationwide football cup competition of Kazakhstan since the independence of the country. The competition begins on 22 April 2014, and will end with the final in November 2014. Shakhter Karagandy are the defending champions, having won their first cup in the 2013 competition. The winner of the competition will qualify for the first qualifying round of the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League. First round The draw was conducted in 2014 at the offices of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan. Entering this round are the 22 clubs from both the Premier League and First Division seasons. The matches took place on 23 April 2014. FC Shakhter Karagandy
Football Club Shakhter ( kk, "Шахтер" футбол клубы, Shakhter fýtbol klýby), commonly referred to as FC Shakhter Karagandy ( kk, Қарағанды/Qarağandı ; Russian: Караганда/Karaganda), is a professional football club based in Karagandy, Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan Premier League
The Kazakhstan Professional Football League ( kk, Қазақстан Премьер Лигасы, ''Qazaqstan Premer Ligasy''), commonly referred to as Kazakh Premier League or simply Premier League, is the top division of football in Kazakhstan. The League is controlled by the Football Federation of Kazakhstan and was set up in 1992. The League is fed into by the First Division and starts in spring and finishes in late autumn because of the low temperatures in the winter, with each championship corresponding to a calendar year. Kokshetau
Kokshetau (meaning ''Blueish Mountain'' in Kazakh, kz, Көкшетау, Kökşetau; ; rus, Кокшета́у, p=kokʂɛtaʊ) is a city in northern Kazakhstan and the capital of Akmola Region, which stretches along the southern shore of Lake Kopa, lying in the north of Kokshetau Hills, a northern subsystem of the Kokshetau Uplands ( Saryarka) and the southern edge of the Ishim Plain. It is named after the Mount Kokshe. Earlier, it was the administrative center of Kokshetau Region, which was abolished in 1997. Miloš Lačný (born 8 March 1988) is a Slovak footballer who plays as a forward for FC Košice. Career Lačný signed professional terms with Ružomberok in 2007, having spent the previous four years as a youth player and went on to score 16 goals in just under 50 league appearances. His form saw him go on trial to Scottish Premier League side Celtic Glasgow in December 2009 but he signed a three-year contract with Sparta Prague in January 2010. Astana, previously known as Akmolinsk, Tselinograd, Akmola, and most recently Nur-Sultan, is the capital city of Kazakhstan. The Astana Arena ( kk, Астана Арена) is a football stadium in Astana, Kazakhstan. The stadium holds 30,000 and has a retractable roof. It serves as the national stadium for the Kazakhstan national football team.
