2014 French Figure Skating Championships
The 2014 French Figure Skating Championships took place between 12 and 15 December 2013 in Vaujany. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, and synchronized skating on the senior level. 2013–14 Figure Skating Season
The 2013–14 figure skating season began on July 1, 2013, and ended on June 30, 2014. During this season, elite skaters competed at the Olympic level in the 2014 Winter Olympics and at the ISU Championship level in the 2014 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. Pair Skating
Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating as compared with independent Single Skating".S&P/ID 2021, p. 109 The ISU also states that a pairs team consists of "one Woman and one Man". Pair skating, along with men's and women's single skating, has been an Olympic discipline since figure skating, the oldest Winter Olympic sport, was introduced at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. Adrien Tesson
Adrien Tesson (born 9 May 1997) is a French figure skater. He is the 2018 International Challenge Cup champion, 2017 Ice Challenge bronze medalist, 2014 NRW Trophy bronze medalist, and 2019 French national bronze medalist. Career Tesson was born in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, France. He studied at Paris-Est Créteil University. Career Tesson began learning to skate in 2005. He competed internationally in the novice ranks during the 2010–11 season and moved up to juniors the following season. His ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) debut came in September 2013. He would compete at a total of four JGP events, achieving his best result (6th) at JGP France in August 2014. Chafik Besseghier (born 11 October 1989) is a French figure skater. He is a two-time International Cup of Nice champion and the 2016 and 2018 French national champion. He has won a total of fourteen senior international medals and finished in the top ten at three ISU Championships ( 2014 Worlds, 2013 Europeans, 2017 Europeans). Personal life Chafik Besseghier was born in Grenoble, France. His parents are from Algeria, close to Oran, and he has two siblings. Brian Joubert
Brian Joubert (; born 20 September 1984) is a French figure skating coach and former competitor. He is the 2007 World champion, a three-time (2004, 2007 & 2009) European champion, and the 2006–07 Grand Prix Final champion. The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014-2015 season. The short program for single skaters and for pair skaters consists of seven required elements, and there are six required elements for synchronized skaters. ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships
The ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships (WSSC) are the world championships for the sport of synchronized skating. Held since 2000, the World Synchronized Skating Championships is an annual event organized by the International Skating Union and attracts the most elite senior-level synchronized skating teams from around the world to compete for the World Championship. The 2014 World Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition held in Saitama, Japan, at the Saitama Super Arena from March 24 to 30. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The event also determined the number of entries a country may send to the 2015 World Championships.
