2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup Squads
The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup included teams with rosters of 12 players each; a team may opt to have one naturalized player from its roster. The rosters were finalized at the team managers' meeting, at the night prior to the first game. Player ages are as of 30 August 2014, the first day of the tournament. Group A Brazil Brazil announced 10 of its final 12-man squad on 18 June 2014. The remaining two members were drawn from the Brazil team that competed at the 2014 FIBA South American Championship in Venezuela in late July. A 14-player roster was named on 6 August. 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup
The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 17th edition of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, the tournament previously known as the FIBA World Championship. Hosted by Spain, it was the last tournament to be held on the then-current four-year cycle. The next FIBA World Cup was held five years later, in 2019, to reset the four-year-cycle on a different year than the FIFA World Cup. The United States won their fifth world championship, after beating silver medal-winning Serbia in the Final. France claimed the third place, while Lithuania finished fourth in the tournament. Host selection FIBA opened the bidding process on 10 January 2008 and all the letters of intent were submitted on 30 April 2008. Juan Pedro Gutiérrez Lanas, commonly known as either Juampi Gutiérrez or J. P. Gutiérrez, (born October 10, 1983) is a former Argentine-Spanish professional basketball player. He played at the power forward and center positions. Professional career Gutiérrez began his professional career in the Liga Nacional de Básquet with Obras Sanitarias during the 2001–02 season. Mantas Kalnietis
Mantas Kalnietis (born 6 September 1986) is a Lithuanian former professional basketball player who last played for BC Žalgiris, Žalgiris Kaunas of the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga, Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and the EuroLeague. He was also a member of the Lithuania men's national basketball team, Lithuanian national basketball team. He would preferably take the point guard position, but could play shooting guard as well. Jonas Kazlauskas (born 21 November 1954) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach and former player. He was most recently the head coach of the Guangdong Southern Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Playing career Kazlauskas played for Statyba Vilnius from 1973 to 1985.
