2014 Campeonato Amazonense
The 2014 Campeonato Amazonense de Futebol was the 98th season of Amazonas' top professional football league. The competition began on February 1, and ended on May 24. Nacional won the championship by the 42nd time, while Holanda and Sul América were relegated. Format The championship will have the teams split in two groups. On the first round, the teams in each group plays against the other teams in the group. The two best teams from each teams advances to the semifinals. The round final are in two-leg matches. On the second round, the teams plays against the teams in the other group. The two best from each group advances to the semifinals, and the round finals are in two-leg matches. The winner from first round then plays against the second round winner. The Campeonato Amazonense, officially Campeonato Amazonense de Futebol Profissional, is the football championship for professional clubs of the state of Amazonas, Brazil. Format The 2021 Campeonato Amazonense is divided into two stages: First Stage *Standard round-robin, in which all teams play each other once. The worst two teams of the stage are relegated to the second division, while the other eight teams advance to the second stage. Second Stage *The best teams play a two-legged knockout stage, with the best placed team of the match having the second leg at home. The winner of the Finals is declared the champion. As in any other Brazilian soccer championship, the format can change every year. Iranduba
Iranduba is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Amazonas. The population of Iranduba in 2020 was 49,011 and its area is 2,215 km², making it the smallest municipality in Amazonas in terms of area. It is located south and west of Manaus on the right bank of the Rio Negro and the left bank of the Solimões River. It is connected to Manaus by the Manaus Iranduba Bridge, a cable-stayed bridge which opened in 2011. Arena Da Amazônia
Arena da Amazônia (''Amazon Arena'') is a football stadium in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, located on the former site of the Vivaldão stadium. The stadium has an all-seater capacity of 44,300 and was constructed from 2010 to 2014 as part of Brazil's hosting of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It hosted matches of the football tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics. During the World Cup, the arena had a limited maximum-capacity of 40,549. São Raimundo Esporte Clube, commonly referred to as São Raimundo, is a Brazilian professional club based in Manaus, Amazonas founded on 18 November 1918. It competes in the Campeonato Amazonense Second Division, the second tier of the Amazonas state football league. The club is named after their neighborhood, which is named after Saint Raymond. Saint Raymond is also the patron saint of the neighborhood of São Raimundo. History In 1915, Risópolis Clube Recreativo was founded by Francisco Rebelo and Professor Assis. Itacoatiara, Amazonas
Itacoatiara is a municipality in the central eastern portion of state of Amazonas, inland northern Brazil. It is 176 km east by air or 270 km downstream by river from Manaus. It is the third most populous town in the state, on the bank of the Amazon River. Its population was 102,701 (2020) and its area is 8,600 km². Penarol Atlético Clube, commonly known as Penarol, is a Brazilian football club based in Itacoatiara, Amazonas. Penarol is currently ranked third among Amazonas teams in CBF's national club ranking at 130th place overall. They are the best placed team in the state from outside of Greater Manaus. Borba, Amazonas
Borba is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the state of Amazonas (Brazilian state), Amazonas in northern Brazil.
