2013–14 Welsh Premier League (women)
The 2013–14 Welsh Premier League (known as the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League for sponsorship reasons) was the 22nd season of the Welsh Premier League, the highest football league within Wales since its establishment in 1992. The season began on 23 August 2013 and ended on 17 May 2014 with the Europa League play-off final. The New Saints won the league after 29 games. The league's rules are contained as a section of the Handbook of the Football Association of Wales. Teams Llanelli were relegated out of the Welsh Premier League the previous season, while Rhyl were promoted as winners of the Cymru Alliance. Welsh Premier League
The Cymru Premier, known as the JD Cymru Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the national football league of Wales. It has both professional and semi-professional status clubs and is at the top of the Welsh football league system. It was founded in 1992, as the first league representing all of Wales. Prior to 2002, the league was known as the League of Wales (LoW), but changed its name as part of a sponsorship deal to the Welsh Premier League. The league was rebranded as the Cymru Premier for the 2019–20 season. Though formed relatively recently, the league contains some of the oldest clubs in world football. Maes Tegid
Maes Tegid () is a community playing field in Bala, Wales. It is currently used mostly for football matches, and is the home ground of Bala Town (). The stadium holds 3,000 people, with 504 seats and has been used by Bala Town since the 1950s. The seats at Maes Tegid are second-hand from Chesterfield and Coventry City, and were installed when Bala won promotion to the Welsh Premier League. Bala Town use Rhyl's Belle Vue stadium for European matches due to UEFA stadium regulations. In January 2016, Bala Town begun discussions to install a synthetic 3G pitch at Maes Tegid. Broughton, Flintshire
Broughton ( ) is a village in Flintshire, Wales, close to the Wales–England border, located to the west of the city of Chester, England, in the community of Broughton and Bretton. Along with the nearby village of Bretton, the total population was 5,974 at the 2011 Census, increasing to 6,535 at the 2021 Census. Broughton is home to a large aircraft factory at Hawarden Airport. Aberavon
Aberavon () is a town and community in Neath Port Talbot county borough, Wales. The town derived its name from being near the mouth of the river Afan, which also gave its name to a medieval lordship. The Cymru Alliance League (known for sponsorship reasons as Huws Gray Alliance) was a association football, football league in North Wales, north and Mid Wales, central Wales which formed the second level of the Welsh football league system. From the 2019/20 season onwards, it was replaced by the Cymru North. If the team which finished top of the league held a Domestic Licence, it could apply for promotion to the Welsh Premier League and was replaced by one of the bottom two teams in the Welsh Premier League. If the league champions did not hold a Domestic Licence, then the team which finished second, if in possession of a Domestic Licence, could be promoted instead.
