2013–14 I-League
The 2013–14 I-League (known as the ''Airtel I-League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the seventh season of the I-League, the top-tier Indian professional league for football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 21 September 2013, and ended on 28 April 2014. Churchill Brothers were the defending champions, having won their second I-League title in the previous season. On 21 April 2014, Bengaluru FC were crowned champions with one game remaining, winning their first ever I-League title by defeating Dempo 2–4 at Fatorda Stadium. Bengaluru FC also created history by becoming the first team ever to win the I-League title in its debut season. On 28 April 2014, Mohammedan were relegated from the I-League when Churchill Brothers defeated Salgaocar 2–1, and hence survived relegation. Sandjar Ahmadi ( prs, سنجر احمدی) is a footballer from Afghanistan who currently plays for Hamm United FC and Afghanistan national football team. He scored two goals against Sri Lanka in 2011 SAFF Championship which helped the national team to win 3–1. At 21 years of age, Ahmadi is one of the Afghanistan national football team's best players. Mustafa Azadzoy (Pashto: مصطفي ازادزوي; born 24 July 1992) is an Afghan professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for Atlas Delmenhorst and the Afghanistan national team. Early life Azadzoy was born in Afghanistan to a Pashtun family, and has five older brothers and sisters. When he was just six months old his family moved to Germany, although his uncle and aunt remain in Afghanistan. Arnab Mondal
Arnab Kumar Mondal (born 25 September 1989) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a centre back. Career Born in Behala, a neighborhood based in Kolkata, West Bengal, Mondal joined the youth team of Mohammedan at the age of 17. In 2010, he signed for Prayag United of the I-League and played for the club for two seasons. For the 2011–12 season, Mondal created a partnership in the center of defense Bello Razaq and was also taken under the wing of India international Deepak Mondal. Anil Gurung ( ne, अनिल गुरुङ; born 17 September 1986) is a Nepali footballer who plays as a striker for Brigade Boys Club in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. Syed Rahim Nabi (Bengali: সৈয়দ রহিম নবী; born 14 December 1985) is a retired professional Indian international footballer who primarily played as a midfielder though he could play as a striker and defender.
