2013–14 Euro Hockey League
The 2013–14 Euro Hockey League was the sixth season of the Euro Hockey League, Europe's premier club field hockey tournament organized by the European Hockey Federation. The group phase was held in Barcelona, Spain, and Lille, France, in October 2013 and the knockout stage was held in Eindhoven, Netherlands in April 2014. The final was played between Harvestehude and Oranje Zwart at Sportpark Aalsterweg, Eindhoven, Netherlands. Harvestehude defeated the hosts Oranje Zwart 3–1 in a shoot-out after a 1–1 draw. Bloemendaal were the defending champions but they did not qualify for this season's edition. Dragons took the bronze medal. Harvestehuder Tennis und Hockey-Club e. V., also known as Harvestehuder THC or simply HTHC, is a German professional sports club based in Winterhude, Hamburg. It is best known for its field hockey department but it also has tennis and lacrosse sections. Hockey Wales
Hockey Wales ( cy, Hoci Cymru) is the national governing body for hockey in Wales. Established as the Welsh Hockey Union in 1996, by the merger of the Welsh Hockey Association (founded 1896) and the Welsh Women's Hockey Association (founded 1897), it rebranded as Hockey Wales in 2011. Hockey Wales is responsible for the administration of all aspects of the game in Wales, including clubs, competitions, development, internationals, schools, umpiring and universities. National competitions include men's and women's Welsh Cups. Internationally, Welsh players compete at the Olympic games as part of the Great Britain team. Cardiff & Met Hockey Club, previously known as Cardiff & UWIC Hockey Club, is a professional field hockey club based at the Sport Wales National Centre in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, Wales. They play in the Men's England Hockey League. It was established in November, 1896 and today forms the hockey section of Cardiff Athletic Club with its headquarters at Cardiff Arms Park. Beeston Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in Beeston, England. The club was founded in 1907, and plays its home games at the Nottingham Hockey Centre in Nottingham. Beeston is nicknamed ''the Bees''. The men's 1st XI plays in the Men's England Hockey League and the ladies 1st XI in the Women's England Hockey League. The majority of the other teams compete in the Midlands League. The large club fields six men's sides, seven ladies sides and various junior sides. WKS Grunwald Poznań is a Polish field hockey club, a section of the wider multi-sports club, from Poznań. It is historically one of the most successful clubs in the country and regularly competes in European competitions. History The section traces its roots to inter-war military club WKS Poznań, champions of Poland in 1935, 1936 and 1938. However the courts have decided that these titles are not formally recognised as belonging to WKS Grunwald. The section was created in January 1952. At the turn of 1951/1952, the Board of the Union Sports Club Włókniarz Poznań (third place in the Polish Championships in 1950) made a proposal to the Board of the Garrison Military Sports Club (GWKS) Poznań to take over the field and ice hockey sections, which it itself was unable to maintain. Kelburne Hockey Club
Kelburne Hockey Club is a Scottish field hockey club, founded in 1969 and based in Paisley. Kelburne today operates five senior men's teams, three senior women's teams and numerous junior teams at all age group levels. The club has dominated Scottish domestic hockey in recent seasons. Kelburne HC has also supplied the Scottish National Team with the vast majority of the Gents' team as well as consistently being represented in the Scotland national ladies team.
