2013 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup
The 2013 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the twelfth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, played by twelve countries over June, 2013 in Lima, Callao, Iquitos, Huacho, in Peru. Team USA defeated 3–0 to the Dominican Republic in the gold medal match, Argentina took the bronze over Brazil. Puerto Rico and Cuba joined the previous four teams, qualifying to the 2014 FIVB World Grand Prix. Samantha Bricio
Samantha Bricio (born November 22, 1994) is a Mexican volleyball professional player, the youngest player to play for the Mexico national team in its history. Bricio played in the 2009 FIVB Girls Youth World Championship (finishing ninth) and again in 2011, finishing twelfth. She received the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games Best Scorer and Best Server awards and the Best Scorer award in the 2011 Youth Pan-American Cup, 2011 Junior Pan-American Cup and the 2013 Pan-American Cup. Personal life Bricio, tall and weighing , was born on November 22, 1994 in Guadalajara, Jalisco and attended Preparatoria de Universidad del Valle de Atemajac de Guadalajara High School in Guadalajara. Kayla Banwarth
Kayla Banwarth (born January 21, 1989) is an American former volleyball player and coach. She played as a libero for the United States women's national volleyball team. Banwarth won gold with the national team at the 2014 World Championship, and bronze at the 2015 World Cup and 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Early life Banwarth was born in Dubuque, Iowa and attended high school at Wahlert Catholic High School. Her team won three state titles and Banwarth graduated with 1,155 kills, 1,093 digs, and 364 aces. She also set school records for digs and aces. Banwarth was named the Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year in 2006. Career She played college volleyball at University of Nebraska. Yael Castiglione (born 27 September 1985) is a retired Argentine volleyball player. Megan Hodge Easy (born October 15, 1988) is an American indoor volleyball player who won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics with the US team and played for Pennsylvania State University's volleyball team. Currently, she plays in Brazilian team Itambé-Minas. Early life and high school Hodge was born in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Her family moved to Durham, North Carolina when she was 3 years old. Her parents, Michael and Carmen, are both former members of the U.S. Virgin Islands National Volleyball Team. 2014 FIVB World Grand Prix
The 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 22nd edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 28 countries from 25 July to 24 August 2014. The Group 1 final round was held in Tokyo, Japan. The Brazilian star team won the tournament for the tenth time, the second consecutive victory.
