The 2013 Speedway Grand Prix of Great Britain, also known as the 2013 FIM Fogo British Speedway Grand Prix for sponsorship reasons, was the fifth race of the 2013 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on 1 June at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. The Grand Prix was won by Emil Sayfutdinov who beat Niels Kristian Iversen, Krzysztof Kasprzak and Fredrik Lindgren in the final. The Millennium Stadium ( cy, Stadiwm y Mileniwm), known since 2016 as the Principality Stadium ( cy, Stadiwm Principality) for sponsorship reasons, is the national stadium of Wales. Emil Damirovich Sayfutdinov (russian: link=no, Эмиль Дамирович Сайфутдинов; born 26 October 1989) is a Russian motorcycle speedway rider and member of the Russia national speedway team. He is a three times Speedway of Nations, World team champion, twice World Junior champion and a two-time winner of the European Championships in 2014 and 2015. Career history ;2005 Sayfutdinov gained his speedway licence in 2005, just before his 16th birthday. He started his career in the Russian league with Mega-Lada Togliatti. His team won the Russian Champion title, and Sayfutdinov was one Mega-Lada's best riders with an average of 2.271 (15th place in league). Niels Kristian Iversen
Niels Kristian Trochmann Iversen (, born 20 June 1982 in Esbjerg, Denmark) is an international motorcycle speedway rider. He was part of the Danish teams that won the Speedway World Cup in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. Early life Niels-Kristian Trochmann was born 20 June 1982 in Esbjerg, Denmark to Ann Marie and Flemming Iversen. Growing up with older brother Soren, Iversen decided he want to be a speedway rider. His local town Esbjerg had a track where Iversen began to learn his desired trade. Quickly moving up the ranks in Denmark, his first title came in 1994 at the 50cc Danish Individual Championship. Moving up to 80cc in 1997 saw him win his second title at 15 years old. In 1998 Iversen moved up to full size 500cc bikes as he set his sights on a bigger and better future. The 2013 Speedway Grand Prix season was the 68th edition of the official World Championship and the 19th season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, deciding the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Speedway World Championship. It was the thirteenth series under the promotion of Benfield Sports International, an IMG (business), IMG company. The British rider Tai Woffinden became world champion, making him the first British rider to win the gold medal since Mark Loram in the 2000 Speedway Grand Prix. Jarosław Hampel won his third world championship medal, while Danish rider Niels Kristian Iversen won his first medal finishing third in the series. Jan Fredrik Tobias (Freddie) Lindgren (born 15 September 1985) is a Swedish motorcycle speedway rider. He has twice won the bronze medal at the Speedway World Championship and won the world team championships in 2015. Career Born in Örebro, Sweden. Lindgren's father Tommy was a speedway rider before him, and his younger brother Ludvig also rides. Lindgren first appeared for Wolverhampton Wolves during the 2003 season as the team struggled with injuries. At the age of just 17, Freddie made his debut for the team and impressed enough to be brought back the following season when again injuries hit the club. In 2005, he moved over to full-time and averaged 7.44 for Wolves in his debut full season and in 2006 he improved to average 8.12. Christopher Calvin Harris (born 28 November 1982) from Truro, Cornwall, nicknamed ''Bomber'', is a Great Britain international speedway rider for the Leicester Lions and Glasgow Tigers in the United Kingdom. Career history Early career Harris began his racing career at the age of six and a half by competing in grasstrack events. His talent quickly became apparent when he began to win all of the junior age groups in the South-West area. Craig William Cook (born 21 May 1987) is a British speedway rider. Career Born in Whitehaven, Cook's speedway career began in 2008. In 2009 Cook won the National League Riders Championship and three years later won the Premier League Riders' Championship. He rode for Peterborough Panthers in 2010. He moved on to Edinburgh Monarchs, who he rode for in the Premier League between 2011 and 2015, and was part of the Belle Vue Aces team that competed in the Elite League from 2011 until 2018. He finished second in the 2014 British Speedway Championship and the 2015 British Speedway Championship. Josh Auty
Joshua Liam Auty (born 8 September 1990) in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, is a British speedway rider. Career Auty was part of the Scunthorpe Scorpions team that won the Conference League Four-Team Championship, held on 18 May 2007 at Plymouth Coliseum. On 10 September 2007, Auty was signed to the Coventry Bees to ride in the Elite League. On 21 September 2007, Auty was selected to represent Great Britain for the 2007 Under 21-World Cup Final. Auty was Conference League Rider's championship runner up in 2007, held at Rye House, losing out to his Scunthorpe teammate Tai Woffinden.
