The 2013 Oberstaufen Cup was a professional tennis tournament played on clay courts. It was the 22nd edition of the Oberstaufen Cup, which was part of the 2013 ATP Challenger Tour. Clay Court
A clay court is one of the types of tennis court on which the sport of tennis, originally known as "lawn tennis", is played. Clay courts are made of crushed stone, brick, shale, or other unbound mineral aggregate depending on the tournament. The French Open uses clay courts, the only Grand Slam tournament to do so. Clay courts are more common in Continental Europe and Latin America than in North America, Asia-Pacific or Britain. Two main types exist: red clay, the more common variety, and green clay, also known as "rubico", which is a harder surface. Although less expensive to construct than other types of tennis courts, the maintenance costs of clay are high as the surface must be rolled to preserve flatness. Peter Gojowczyk ( ; born 15 July 1989) is a German professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 39 in June 2018. Thiago Moura Monteiro (; born 31 May 1994) is a Brazilian professional tennis player. Monteiro has a career high ATP singles ranking of world No. 61 achieved on 17 October 2022. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 144 achieved on 31 January 2022. He is currently the No. 1 Brazilian tennis player. Ivo Minář (born 21 May 1984) is a former professional male tennis player from the Czech Republic. On July 20, 2009, Minář reached his career-high singles ranking of World No. 62. His brother Jan Minář, Jan is also a professional player, who has been ranked in the top 200 in the world. Minář was a member of the winning Czech Republic team in the 2012 Davis Cup. Kevin Krawietz
Kevin Krawietz (born 24 January 1992) is a German professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. He is a two-time Grand Slam champion, having won the French Open doubles title in both 2019 and 2020 alongside compatriot Andreas Mies. The pair were also semifinalists at the 2019 US Open.
