2013 National Premier League Queensland
The 2013 National Premier League Queensland is the first season under the new competition format in Queensland. The league consists of 14 teams across the State of Queensland. Brisbane City, Olympic FC and Redlands United joined from the Brisbane Premier League. Brisbane Strikers, QAS and Sunshine Coast Fire joined from the previous Queensland State League. Central Queensland FC, FNQ FC Heat and Northern Fury each had sides from their cities participating in the previous Queensland State League but new consortiums won bids to participate in the NPL and new identities were created, Fury taking on the identity of the former A-League club North Queensland Fury. Complete new entities, Western Pride FC and Moreton Bay Jets were formed while Palm Beach Sharks was drawn from the Gold Coast Premier League but were former participants in years gone past in the Brisbane Premier League. National Premier League Queensland
The National Premier League Queensland, run by Football Queensland, is the top tier state-level football (soccer) competition in Queensland. The conference is a sub division of the National Premier Leagues. The inaugural season kicked off in March 2013 and consisted of 12 teams. Each team will be expected to field a senior team, five junior men's teams from under-12 to under-20 starting in 2013 and women's junior teams in under-13, under-15, and under-17 starting in 2014. Each club has been granted a 5-year licence and there is no promotion or relegation from the league during this period. It was announced on 16 December 2016 that there would be promotion and relegation to the Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) as of the 2018 season and that the league would be expanded to 14 teams. Palm Beach Sharks
Palm Beach Soccer Club is an Australian amateur soccer club based in Gold Coast, Queensland. The club was formed in 1966. History Palm Beach In 1964 Eddie Wardell organised a group of boys, one of which was his son, to play football out of Palm Beach and compete in a three team football competition against Kingscliff and Twin Towns. The first game for Palm Beach was held at Salk Oval and the team members wore plain green T-shirts but the team would later move to a council paddock also located in Palm Beach. By 1965 the local Gold Coast Association football competition wanted a presence in Palm Beach and invited the team to join the local junior competitions. Goodwin Park is a multi-sport venue located at Brisbane, Australia. It is home to Olympic FC. Moreton Bay
Moreton Bay is a bay located on the eastern coast of Australia from central Brisbane, Queensland. It is one of Queensland's most important coastal resources. The waters of Moreton Bay are a popular destination for recreational anglers and are used by commercial operators who provide seafood to market. The Port of Brisbane coordinates large traffic along the shipping channel which crosses the northern section of the bay. The bay serves as a safe approach to the airport and reduces noise pollution over the city to the west of the runway. A number of barge, ferry and water-taxi services also travel over the bay. Mareeba
Mareeba is a rural town and locality in the Shire of Mareeba in Far North Queensland, Australia. Between 2008 and 2013, it was within the Tablelands Region. The town's name is derived from an Aboriginal word meaning ''meeting of the waters''. Geography The town is above sea level on the confluence of the Barron River, Granite Creek and Emerald Creek. Rugby Park, also known as The BBSP Stadium Rugby Park for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium situated in the Scottish town of Kilmarnock.
