2013 International Origin Series
The 2013 International Origin series is the third time the rugby league International Origin has been played. This series was just a one-off match between England and Exiles RL to give England a good opposition mid-season in preparation for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup in November. It was announce on 11 January that the match will be played on 14 June 2013 at the home of the Warrington Wolves, the Halliwell Jones Stadium. International Origin Match 1st Half The first 15 minutes were very even as both teams probed each other's try line and each team made a couple of breaks but good cover defence soon rubbed out any threat of a try. However, in the 19th minute a break from James Roby (from a Chris Hill offload) set England up in a good position. Wigan Warriors
The Wigan Warriors are a professional rugby league club in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England, which competes in the Super League. Formed in 1872 as Wigan Football Club, Wigan was a founding member of the Rugby Football League, Northern Rugby Football Union following the History of rugby league, schism from the Rugby Football Union in 1895. The England national rugby league team represents England in international rugby league. The team, largely formed from the Great Britain national rugby league team, Great Britain team which also represented Wales national rugby league team, Wales and Scotland national rugby league team, Scotland, is run under the auspices of the Rugby Football League. It participates in the Rugby League World Cup, Rugby League Four Nations, Four Nations and Test matches. The team dates to 1904, when they played against a mixture of Welsh and Scottish players in Wigan. Until the 1950s, they regularly toured Australia and New Zealand and played both home and away matches against neighbours Wales and France, but when it was decided that Great Britain would tour the Southern Hemisphere instead of England, France and Wales became the only regular opponents.
