2013 FIM Motocross World Championship
The 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship was the 57th F.I.M. Motocross World Championship season. It included 36 races at 18 events including Qatar, Thailand, The Netherlands, Italy, Bulgaria, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, France, Sweden, Latvia, Finland, Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium and Great Britain. 2013 calendar The 2013 calendars of the FIM Motocross World Championships promoted by Youthstream were finalised on 2 March 2013. Motocross World Championship
FIM Motocross World Championship is the premier championship of motocross racing, organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), divided into two distinct classes: MXGP and MX2. Race duration is 30 minutes plus two laps per race. The series runs 18 events with two races per class at each round. History The FIM Motocross World Championship is a worldwide motocross series sanctioned by the F.I.M. It was inaugurated in 1957 using a 500 cc engine displacement formula. In 1962 a 250cc class was added and in 1975, a 125cc class was introduced. Prior to 1957, the championship was known as the European Championship. In 2004, the F.I.M. changed the displacement formulas to reflect the changes in engine technology and as a move towards environmentally friendlier four-stroke engines. Uddevalla (old no, Oddevold) is a town and the seat of Uddevalla Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. In 2015, it had a population of 34 781. It is located at a bay of the south-eastern part of Skagerrak. The beaches of Uddevalla are filled with seashells and Uddevalla has one of the largest shell-banks in the world. Glenn Coldenhoff (born 13 February 1991) is a Dutch professional motocross racer. He has competed in the Motocross World Championships since 2013. Coldenhoff was a member of the winning Dutch team at the 2019 Motocross des Nations. Motocross career Coldenhoff was born in Oss on 13 February 1991. He lives in Heesch, Netherlands. Coldenhoff in 2015 rode for the Suzuki racing team. He switched to the Red Bull KTM racing team for 2016. He won his first MXGP race on 12 July 2015 in Ķegums, Latvia. José Antonio Butrón Oliva (born 27 January 1991) is a Spanish professional Motocross racer. Butrón competed in the Motocross World Championship from 2008 to 2021, finishing third in the final standings of the MX2 class in the 2013 FIM Motocross World Championship. After taking a step back from full-time world championship competition after the 2021 season, Butrón won the 2022 European Motocross Championship in the EMXOpen class. Butrón has represented Spain at the Motocross des Nations on ten separate occasions. In addition to this, he is one of the most successful riders in the history of the Spanish Motocross Championship, winning nine senior titles and six junior titles. Jeffrey Herlings (born 12 September 1994) is a Dutch professional motocross racer. He has competed in the Motocross World Championships since 2010. Shaun Simpson (born 13 March 1988) is a Scottish professional motocross racer. He has competed in the Motocross World Championships since 2004. Simpson has won two British motocross championships (2008 and 2014), a Belgian Championship (2011) and has represented Great Britain four times at the prestigious Motocross des Nations. Motocross career Simpson was born in Gauldry, Fife, Scotland and educated at Madras College secondary school. Lierop
Lierop is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Someren, about 7 km south of Helmond. History The village was first mentioned in 1155 as Lirdob. The etymology is unknown. Lierop develop along the Kleine Aa. A church was built in 1569. The Holy Name of Jesus Church was built between 1890 and 1892, and has a large domed tower in Romano-Gothic style. Loket (; german: Elbogen) is a town of in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,100 inhabitants. The town centre itself features Loket Castle, a 12th-century Gothic castle. The town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as urban monument reservation.
