2013 FIA WTCC Race Of Hungary
The 2013 FIA WTCC Race of Hungary was the fourth round of the 2013 World Touring Car Championship season and the third running of the FIA WTCC Race of Hungary. It was held on 5 May 2013 at the Hungaroring in Mogyoród near Budapest, Hungary. Race one was won by Yvan Muller of RML from pole position. Race two was won by Robert Huff for ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport, the first win in the World Touring Car Championship for the team and Huff's first victory as the reigning champion. Background After three rounds, Muller was leading the world drivers' championship and James Nash was leading the Yokohama Independents' Trophy. The compensation weights were revised for the Hungarian rounds with the SEAT León WTCCs gaining of ballast and the Honda Civic WTCCs gaining of ballast. Mogyoród
Mogyoród is a small traditional village in Pest County, Hungary. The Battle of Mogyoród took place here on 14 March 1074, between Solomon, King of Hungary and his cousins Géza and Ladislaus, who were claiming rights to the throne. To commemorate the victory, László Benchmarks were installed, establishing a monastery on Klastrom mountain. Among the sights of the village is the Roman Catholic church, built between 1745 and 1749, the statue of St John of Nepomuk, carved from stone, and the Baroque parish built by the Bishop of Vác. The Hungaroring race track is located in the town, home to the Hungarian Grand Prix. Tiago Vagaroso da Costa Monteiro (; born 24 July 1976) is a Portuguese professional racing driver currently competing in the World Touring Car Cup, driving a Honda Civic TCR for Engstler Motorsport. He competed in Formula One between 2005 and 2006 for the Jordan Grand Prix, Midland and Spyker MF1 teams – all different iterations of the same team as it was bought by new owners during a two-year stint as part of the Formula One paddock. Fernando Monje Vicario (born 7 March 1993) is a former Spanish racing driver who competed in the World Touring Car Championship. Career Early career Monje was born in Barcelona. He began his career in karting in 2005 at the age of twelve and competed in karting until 2009. He switched to single-seaters in 2009 at the age of 16 when he debuted in the Formul'Academy Euro Series, finishing tenth in the drivers' championship. He also contested three rounds of the Spanish SEAT León Supercopa with SUNRED Engineering. Hugo Valente (born 17 June 1992) is a French former auto racing driver. He raced in the World Touring Car Championship for SUNRED Engineering, Campos Racing and the Lada factory team having made his debut in the series at the 2012 FIA WTCC Race of China. For 2017, he made the switch to the TCR International Series, where part way through the season he announced his retirement from motorsport. He was born in Choisy-le-Roi. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport.
