The 2013 Football Federation South Australia season was the 107th season of soccer in South Australia, and the first under the National Premier Leagues format. League table Finals 2013 NPL State League The 2013 NPL State League was the first edition of the new NPL State League as the second level domestic association football competition in South Australia. 16 teams competed, all playing each other twice for a total of 30 rounds, with the top two at the end of the year being promoted to the 2014 National Premier Leagues South Australia. 2013 Women's Premier League The highest tier domestic football competition in South Australia for women was known for sponsorship reasons as the Adelaide Airport Women's Premier League. The Football South Australia (FSA), formerly known as Football Federation South Australia (FFSA), is the governing body of football (also known as soccer) in South Australia, established in 2006. Description Football South Australia are affiliated with Football Australia, the sport's national governing body. The FSA run the highest level of football in the state of South Australia, the semi-professional National Premier Leagues South Australia, below this they run State League 1 and State League 2 which are level 2 and 3 on the state's football league pyramid, and levels 3 and 4 on the national pyramid. 2013 National Premier Leagues
The 2013 National Premier Leagues was the inaugural season of the Australian National Premier Leagues football competition. It began on 22 February 2013 and concluded on 13 October 2013. The National Premier Leagues was contested by clubs from five divisions. The divisions were ACT, NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania. The winners of each respective divisional league then competed in a finals playoff tournament at season end, culminating in a grand final.
