Association Of Volleyball Professionals
The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) is the biggest and longest-running professional beach volleyball tour in the United States. Founded in 1983, the AVP is headquartered in Newport Beach, California. The AVP operates as a 3-tiered development system with AVPFirst, a youth program; AVPNext, a developmental circuit; and the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour itself. Brittany Hochevar (born May 26, 1981) is an American female volleyball and beach volleyball player. Career Her hometown is Fowler, Colorado. She was part of the United States women's national volleyball team, playing as an opposite hitter and setter. She participated in the 2004 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup. Lauren Fendrick
Lauren Fendrick (born ) is an American beach volleyball player. She competed in beach volleyball at the 2016 Summer Olympics with teammate Brooke Sweat. In 2017, Fendrick and new teammate April Ross placed second at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships. Early life and education Fendrick was born in San Diego, California. She grew up in Carlsbad, California. From a young age she showed an interest in sports, competing in basketball, tennis, volleyball, and softball. Fendrick attended UCLA and graduated with ''magna cum laude'' with a degree in communication studies. She then went on to study law at University of Southern California graduating in 2010. April Elizabeth Ross (born June 20, 1982) is an American beach volleyball player and three-time Olympic medalist. She won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics with Jennifer Kessy, a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics with Kerri Walsh Jennings, and a gold medal at 2020 Summer Olympics with Alix Klineman. Early years Growing up in Southern California, Kessy excelled at multiple sports. In high school, she was the MVP of the swim team her junior year and the captain and the MVP of the volleyball team her senior year, earning honors as an All-California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) second team. John Hyden
John Hyden (born October 7, 1972, in Tustin, California) is an American volleyball and beach volleyball player. Raised in San Diego, California, where he attended Mt. Carmel High School, Hyden was a member of the United States men's national volleyball team that finished in ninth place at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. A 2-time All American at San Diego State University he was named to 1995 World Cup team and played as an outside hitter. At the 2000 Summer Olympics he finished in 11th place with ''Team USA''.
