2013 AFC Futsal Club Championship Qualification
The 2013 AFC Futsal Club Championship qualification were held to determine 5 spots to the final tournament. The teams finishing first, second and third in the 2012 AFC Futsal Club Championship, receive automatic byes to the final round. It will between 11 and 24 April 2013. Format Sixteen teams registered in qualifying action for 5 places in the finals. Reigning champions Iran, runners-up Uzbekistan, Japan have direct entry into the tournament proper. The remaining Thirteen team will play in the qualification rounds. The result of the draw for the groups was announced on 13 February 2013. Zone 1 teams will play a round-robin groupstage, with the top two teams qualifying to the semi-finals. The winner of both semi-finals will the progress to the final tournament as well. AFC Futsal Club Championship
The AFC Futsal Club Championship is the current highest Asian futsal club competition, hosted by the Asian Football Confederation. It is futsal equivalent to AFC Champions League. For the inaugural edition, AFC Futsal Committee decided to make it an invitational event, and each member association has been asked to nominate their national league champions for the tournament. History and format A trial edition, named 2006 Asia Futsal Cup, was run in 2006 with six teams participating. Iranian team Shensa Saveh beat Uzbek Ardus FC 5–1 in the final. The first recognised edition by the AFC was held in 2010 and ran with ten teams, forming two groups of five teams. The top two finishers then proceeded to the semi-finals. Since 2015 the final tournament is played with 12 teams. If more national league champions wish to enter a team, all but the top three finishers of the last tournament and the host nation, have to enter a qualification stage. Rabie Jamil Najib El Kakhi ( ar, ربيع جميل نجيب الكاخي; born 9 August 1984) is a Lebanese football coach and former player. He represented Lebanon internationally as a goalkeeper in both football and futsal. Club career El Kakhi began his career at Safa. He moved to Akhaa Ahli Aley in 2011, simultaneously playing futsal for Sadaka in 2011. He was nominated among the best five futsal goalkeepers for 2011.
