The 2012–13 season in Primera División de Nicaragua was divided into two tournaments (Apertura and Clausura) and determined the 61st and 62nd champions in the history of the league. It also provided the country's sole berth for the 2013–14 CONCACAF Champions League. Primera División De Nicaragua
The Liga Primera de Nicaragua is the top division of football in Nicaragua, organized by the Federación Nicaragüense de Fútbol. It was created in 1933. The league is played in two parts, the ''Torneo de Apertura'' from August through November and ''Torneo de Clausura'' from January through May. Each of the regular seasons is followed by a playoff of the top four teams over a two-legged semifinal and subsequent final. The relegation end has the bottom team of the aggregate table dropped as well as the defeated one from the playoff match between the 8th and 9th-place teams. Ramón Otoniel Olivas Ruiz (born 28 February 1968) is a Nicaraguan football manager and former player. He now coaches Real Estelí in the Primera División de Nicaragua, Club career During his career he played for Real Estelí for whom he scored 62 goals in 16 years in Nicaragua, Atlético Indio in Honduras and Atlético Marte in El Salvador.
