Hessenliga
The Hessenliga (until 2008 ''Oberliga Hessen'') is the highest football league in the state of Hesse and the Hessian football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier. Overview The league was formed in 1945 and except for its first two seasons it has always played as one single division. The league was called Landesliga-Hessen until 1950 and actually formed the second tier of southern German football. With the introduction of the 2nd Oberliga Süd in 1950, the Landesliga-Hessen was renamed Amateurliga Hessen. From 1978, it was called Amateur Oberliga Hessen and finally, in 1994 it was renamed Oberliga Hessen. FSC Lohfelden
FSC Lohfelden is a German association football club based in Lohfelden, Hesse. History It was established in 1895 as the gymnastics and sports club ''Turn- und Sportverein Crumbach'' and formed a football department in 1924. In 1933, the association was joined by the membership of the worker's sports club ''Arbeiter Turn- und Sportverein 1892 Ochshausen'' which, like other left-leaning workers groups, was dissolved for political reasons under the Nazi regime. Following World War II occupying Allied authorities ordered the dissolution of all organizations in the country, including sports and football clubs. The membership of ''TSV'' became part of the newly formed ''Freie Sport- und Kulturgemeinde Lohfelden'' which was created on 14 October 1945. 2013–14 Regionalliga
The 2013–14 Regionalliga was the sixth season of the Regionalliga, the second under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. The champions of Regionalliga Nord – Holstein Kiel – and Regionalliga Nordost – RB Leipzig – as well as Regionalliga Südwest runners-up SV Elversberg were promoted to the 3. Liga. Alemannia Aachen, Babelsberg 03 and Kickers Offenbach were relegated from 3. Liga. Regionalliga Nord 18 teams from the states of Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein competed in the second season of the reformed Regionalliga Nord. 15 teams were retained from the last season and 3 teams were promoted from the Oberliga – Niedersachsenliga champions Eintracht Braunschweig II and the two Regionalliga North promotion playoff winners Eintracht Norderstedt (4th place Oberliga Hamburg) and SV Eichede (champions Schleswig-Holstein-Liga). Kickers Offenbach II, is a reserve team of German association football club Kickers Offenbach. The team, which during the times the senior side played in professional football, played as Kickers Offenbach Amateure, has on occasion played as high as the Hessenliga, the highest league in the state of Hesse. History Kickers Offenbach Amateure made a first appearance in higher league football when it won promotion to the Landesliga Hessen-Mitte in 1970 and went on to win this league in its first season there. Rot-Weiß Darmstadt is a German association football club based in Darmstadt, Hesse. The club's greatest success has been promotion to the Hessenliga, which it achieved for the first time in 2010. OSC Vellmar is a German sports club based in Vellmar, Hesse which has departments for budō, weight lifting, handball, inline hockey, Taekwondo, dance, table tennis, gymnastics, and winter sports. SC Viktoria 06 Griesheim is a German football club based in Griesheim, Hesse. History Founded in 1906 the club enjoyed some of its best seasons through the 70s and 80s. In 1973 they advanced to the Landesliga Hessen-Süd (IV) and in their fourth season of play there emerged as champions to earn promotion to the Oberliga Hessen (III). Three seasons later in 1980–81, ''Viktoria Griesheim'' claimed the championship in that division, in a year when no promotion places were available to the Oberliga champions. That was the pinnacle as the club's achievement as they began a slide that led to an 18th-place finish and relegation in 1988. ''Griesheim'' returned to the Oberliga for a single season appearances in 1991 and 2004, but both campaigns also ended in a last place finish and relegation. Hünfelder SV is a German association football club from the city of Hünfeld, Hesse.
