Brescia Calcio, commonly referred to as Brescia (), is an Italian football club based in Brescia, Lombardy, that currently plays in . The club holds the record for total number of seasons (64) and consecutive seasons (18, from 1947–48 to 1964–65) in Serie B, which they have won four times. Their best finish in Serie A came in the 2000–01 season when they placed eighth. At the beginning of the 21st century, led by the 1993 Ballon d'Or winner Roberto Baggio, the club also qualified for the Intertoto Cup twice, reaching the final in 2001 but being defeated on the away goals rule by Paris Saint-Germain. During this era, Pep Guardiola, future highly decorated manager, also played for the club. The team's colours are blue and white. Its stadium is the 19,550-seater Stadio Mario Rigamonti. Davide Di Gennaro (born 16 June 1988) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Serie D club Portici. Club career Early career Di Gennaro is a product of Milan's youth system, which he joined from amateur side Cimiano in 1995. There he went on to become the captain of their under-20 squad. Massimiliano Irrati (born 27 June 1979) is a professional Italian football referee. Irrati made his Serie B debut on 27 August 2011, officiating a match between Cittadella and AlbinoLeffe. Stadio Romeo Menti is a football stadium in Vicenza, Italy, named after Romeo Menti. It is currently the home of Vicenza Calcio. The stadium holds 12,000. Recent years On 11 November 1989 the stadium hosted the only game played so far in Vicenza in the Italy national football team. The match, a friendly in preparation for the World Cup Italy 90, saw the victory of Italy 1–0 against Algeria. Subsequent work removed the metal pillars of the old grandstand that hindered filming of football matches, along with the installation of seats in a field at the corner of the south stand. Daniele Corvia (born 20 November 1984) is an Italian football coach and a former player who played as a forward. He is an assistant coach for Italian Serie D club Racing Aprilia.
