2012–13 ABA League
The 2012–13 ABA League was the 12th season of the ABA League, with 14 teams from Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Hungary participating in it. This was the first time a team from Macedonia, MZT Skopje, and a team from Hungary, Szolnoki Olaj were taking part in this regional league, and the fourth time since the league's creation that team that is not from the former Yugoslavia participates in it. It was also for the first time that two best teams ABA League gained automatic access to the next seasons Euroleague competition, while third placed gained wild card to Euroleague qualification round. ABA League
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia). Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, the NLB League from 2006 to 2011, and as the AdmiralBet ABA League from 2021. The league coexists alongside scaled-down national leagues in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. All but one of Adriatic League clubs join their country's own competitions in late spring after the Adriatic League regular season and post-season have been completed. Cedevita d.o.o. is a Croatian company which produces a wide range of teas, instant drinks, and dietetic products. A notable owner of the company was the Croatian pharmaceutical company Pliva d.d. Since 2001 Cedevita has been part of the Atlantic Grupa. Background and history Cedevita began production in 1929 in Borongaj, Zagreb (where the main factory still operates) as a branch of the Swiss company Wander AG to produce dietetic products. In 1947, a new facility was built in Trogir for processing of plants and manufacturing of teas. The company sponsors KK Cedevita, a basketball club in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Dražen Petrović Basketball Hall
The Dražen Petrović Basketball Hall ( hr, Košarkaški centar Dražen Petrović), formerly known as Cibona Sports Centre ( hr, Sportski centar Cibona), is an indoor sports arena located in Zagreb, Croatia. The official seating capacity of the arena is 5,400. History The arena was built in 1987, to be used at the 1987 Summer Universiade and was then known as the Cibona Sports Centre ( hr, Sportski centar Cibona). On 4 October 1993, it was renamed after the late former NBA player and basketball Hall of Famer, Dražen Petrović, a former Cibona Zagreb star. On 7 June 2006, on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the death of Dražen Petrović, a museum-memorial center bearing his name was opened next to the hall. Petrović died in 1993, in a car accident, cutting his great career short. Laktaši ( sr-cyrl, Лакташи) is a city located in Republika Srpska, an entity of the state Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2013, the municipality had a population of 34,966 inhabitants, while the town has a population of 5,879 inhabitants. MZT Skopje Aerodrom ( mk, МЗТ Скопје Аеродром) is a basketball club based in Skopje, North Macedonia. The club competes in the Macedonian League and ABA League.
