2012 WAFL Season
The 2012 WAFL season was the 128th season of the West Australian Football League and its various incarnations. The season opened on 17 March, with hosting at Leederville Oval, and concluded with the 2012 WAFL Grand Final, in which defeated by 26 points. Ben Saunders (Australian Rules Footballer)
Ben Saunders (born 25 December 1991) was an Australian rules footballer who played for South Fremantle in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He was the club's leading goalkicker in 2012, 2014 and 2016. Lathlain Park
Lathlain Park (also known as Mineral Resources Park under ground sponsorship arrangements) is an Australian rules football ground, located in Lathlain, an inner-eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Since its opening in 1959, it has been the home ground for the Perth Football Club of the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Since 2019 it has been the administrative and training headquarters of professional Australian Football League (AFL) club the West Coast Eagles. Naming rights The venue was known as Lathlain Park until 2003 when the naming rights were sold to Eftel, an internet company, for a period of five years or more. Bill Monaghan
Bill Monaghan (born 28 August 1968) is the current coach of the East Fremantle Football Club and a former player for the Subiaco Lions and Peel Thunder. He previously coached West Perth from 2009 until 2018. He played 204 games for Subiaco and Peel, captained Peel, and represented Western Australia at fullback. He coached the Lions reserves to premierships in 2003 and 2005, and was an assistant coach under Peter German during the Lions' 2004 and 2006 premierships. When German stepped down in 2006, both German and most senior players favoured Monaghan to take over as senior coach, but the club board instead chose Scott Watters. Greg Harding
Greg Harding (born 17 September 1976) is an Australian rules footballer. He played for both the Fremantle Football Club and the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Fremantle from Claremont in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) as a zone selection in the 1995 AFL Draft and played mainly as a defender. He made his AFL debut in the opening round Western Derby in 1996. In round 4 of that year, he was awarded the weekly nomination for the AFL Rising Star award. In 1997 he had his best season for Fremantle, playing in 18 games and coming fifth in the club's best and fairest award. Aidan William John Parker (born 25 January 1983) is an Australian rules footballer who is the current captain of the Subiaco Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He was previously rookie-listed with the Adelaide Football Club in Australian Football League (AFL), and also played matches for South Adelaide and Glenelg in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Chris Waterman
Chris Waterman (born 19 September 1968) is a former Australian rules football player and coach. Waterman’s playing career started in Rossmoyne’s junior football zone where he was eventually recruited by the East Fremantle Football Club at the age of fifteen. He played in the club’s Colts, Reserves and Senior line-up and finished with a total of 61 senior games. In 1988 Waterman made his AFL debut wearing a West Coast Eagles guernsey, and under the guidance of coaches John Todd and Mick Malthouse, went on to play a total of 177 matches (including 22 AFL finals, 3 Grand Finals and 2 Premierships) for the club and earned "Player Life Member" status. Ryan Cook (born 16 February 1988) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) between 2006 and 2010. Paul Andrew Hasleby (born 12 June 1981) is a former Australian rules footballer. He played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) and the and South Fremantle Football Clubs in the West Australian Football League (WAFL).
